I find Mark Millar's writing to be pretty bland
I like his Ultimates, Wolverine "Enemy of the State", Old Man Logan (the end was rough but until then I was happy), and Wanted. Other than that I feel you.

Being Human season finale is coming up next Monday. Last episode was dope. Planning on replacing it with new episode of Paranormal State. I know most of that show is BS but I still love it and every once in awhile I get scared.

I came to a similar realisation with my comics as Jacobi did with figures. I asked myself what joy was I getting from boxes full of comics. To look at they are just boxes. As a result I have moved to trades. I now buy less because by the time it takes the books to be collected I know if i truly want them or not. It's been great selling all of my single issues and my bookshelf now looks wonderful
Are you having an easy or hard time with that. Most of my books are from the 90's and I feel that no one wants them at all. I'm not even talking about trying to make a profit just get rid of them. For instance: 90's FF Post Peter David Hulk

I loved the movie Wanted. But never read the comic book. There is a shadow of a common them between them "get off your ass and do something". Other than that they are completely different. I happen to like both

IMHO there's still enough intolerance in the world to mine for a good X-MEN comic. There might not be as much racism in America anymore. But you can look anywhere and find someone hating someone else for no damn good reason at all.
That being said, no, not every X-Men comic needs to be about intolerance.

I'm waiting to get the first 115 issues of Legends of the Dark Knight from the binder.
In the meantime I'm working on a new project - collecting and eventually binding the best of DC's Elseworlds.
What are you putting in there?

Going to start watching The League. It's FX series about a group of guys and their fantasy football league.
Dude it's fucking hilarious. I jumped into season 2 when it was originally aired. then checked out season 1 on netflix. I love FX for taking chances on "lightly scripted" shows like this and "It's Always Sunny".

I found going to trades startingly easy. I scratch my itch of issues with The Punisher. everything else is trades unless there just happens to be some extra special single issue I want to check out.

I wish Marvel would start releasing direct to dvd animated films as regularly and with the quality of the D.C. flicks.
Marvel has shifted their focus to tv properties. With the quality of Avengers EMH, I'm ok with that.

I gave Avengers like three issues and then I was out. It's a shame that he is still having the same problems with issue 11 that he has had for awhile. Marvel needs to kick him off of group books and give him single characters again. I'd rather read three Daredevil like titles than one of these books.
Does anyone do "one and dones" anymore?

The "real" answer to this is that Marvel has always been more grounded in reality than DC. But the "Woodrow" answer is that MJ is a hot piece of mega-trim while Lois is a wet blanket who only wants to marry for status. It's true. Her vagina is gigantic.

If I only like the "Best of", of a certain band or artist, does that make me a poser? There are some bands where I love the "best of" material but when I try to get into a full album I don't like what I hear. Does it make me less of a fan if I only like their "singles"?
Examples:
David Bowie The Pixies (please don't karma rape me) The Band Van Halen (only David Lee Roth stuff) Aerosmith

I liked it. There was really nothing about it that was horrible, it looked like a fun action/adventure flick. As for the costume .. get over it, its not THAT bad. Some of it looked down right awesome, the other CGI corps members looked great. N Travis N thirded
