After 1.5 years of planning a wedding that still hasn't happened (AUGUST IS COMING). By next April I think I owe it to myself to go on some kind of vacation that involves funny books.

Absolutely. Did the wedding thing last year and even as laid back as we planned everything it was still a lot of work. Good cheer to you. It's gonna be golden!

Gonna have to work it out with my wife since that's close to our anniversary/vacation time. May have to stay close for the anniversary trip, then go big solo to C2E2.

Maybe if I pitch my fingers together in a tent position long enough I can come up with a diabolical plan (and money).

A few stories into this and I'm about 50/50 on good vs. it's ok.



And I just got this 50% off on FCBD. Looking forward to diving in.

So the only Gundam I have had experience with is Wing and G and after hearing great things about this and it being published by Vertical (which is kinda weird). This book is pretty amazing and the storytelling and characters are pretty much perfect.

Just bought this for my 13 year old nephew. Hopefully I get to read it after him.

i gave it a 3 out of 5 stars in netflix. technical-wise its superbly shot. the design is beautiful. ridley scott knows how to direct action and grandeur. the cast is great. you can see the budget on-screen. so its definitely not bad; i'd probably watch it again.

story-wise... its inconsistent and bogged down with needless call-backs and links to alien. i think i might have thought better of it if it were its own thing. also, characters and motivations are poorly explained.

I have it at home and still haven't watched. I'll get around to it. The biggest gripe I've heard is the lack of science and some bad B-movie character decision making.

Re: Iron Man 3. I have not seen yet but I can tell you that the slapstick thing is Disney influence, and ultimately the result of directing by committee. Sad to hear. I have a bad feeling about Guardians...

Man, I haven't read any of the Marvel titles yall talked about. It just becomes too expensive for me to add those. I want to read, but I really like to diversify my hold box with the amount of discretionary spending I have. Same when it comes to the collected editions.
