Bean was the most amazing roommate ever this year at C2E2....made sure I got out of my comfort zone and got me down to Wrigleyville and I was able to meet some truly wonderful people. Bean made my trip this year!

Thanks guys!! Both of those really put a smile on my face!!
Thanks to David, Chris, Jason and Vince for creating something that has brought so many of us together. The love on this forum is outstanding!!
Thanks to everyone I've met in person who took me into the family NO questions asked. Thanks to those I have yet to meet (YES, David, Im looking at you! LOL) who will undoubtedly do the same. They say that it's not the family we're given that truly represents who we are as people but the family we choose. In this case, the Chosen Family of 11 O'Clock Comics is one that will last longer and burn brighter than most!

If you've ever had the pleasure of being lucky enough to have a fellow forum member "hook you up", let it be known here.
Have you come home to find something in your mailbox sent to you from another listener? I have. And on more than one occasion (you dudes do rock so hard). But right now, I gotta say:
JohnnyNoPrize is the GODDAM man.
Who's next?

Just walked in the door from seeing it and it was AMAZING!!! I don't think I have anything to gripe about. Even Cap's uniform, which looked ridiculous in the photos that had been released, worked better than I thought it would. The two friends I saw it with are hardly comic book fans but they raved about it all the way home and we were all in agreement that the Hulk stole the movie. I loved seeing the baddie in the extra scene during the credits but think that seeing the beginnings of a Kree/Skrull dispute would have been cool. The next two films could then be based on the Kree/Skrull war. I held out secret hopes that a Hank Pym/Janet Van Dyne mention was somehow going to be somewhere but I'm ok with it not being there. Was truly shocked by "the event which wont be discussed", didnt think they would actually do that. All in all, I loved it! I've been waiting for this movie since, as a kid, my friends and I would sit around and talk about how cool it would be if there was an Avengers movie. You pulled it off, Whedon! You not only pleased the ten year old me but you made the 47 year old me very very happy! Thank you.

Are we switching to one-legged man stories? If so, I got one.
I got that beat....I once dated a guy that had lost one arm and one leg in a train accident. He was a nice guy. My best friend at the time, though, kept telling me that I was just dating him for the jokes. "Jokes", I would say? "Yeah...jokes. Just imagine, if the two of you are fighting: 'You havent got a leg to stand on!' or 'You arent half the man you used to be!!' or 'Dont you turn around and hop away from me!!' **Sigh** MY friends!

I once worked for a hotel where one of the housekeepers came running down to me one morning...." Mister Steve! Mister Steve! You come see NOW!"
I follow her down to a room and enter....in it I see a fully naked man.....rock hard and pointing "north" if you catch my drift...lol....and missing one leg ( He arrived that way, it didnt happen at the hotel ) , lying half-conscious on the bed. In the room are several empty bottles of liquor......pill bottles and money strewn everywhere.
"Sir?," I ask...."Sir. Are you ok? Is everything alright? Do you need me to call anyone for you?
"No..no...I'm fine." he mumbles. "I want the room for another night. Take whatever money you need and go ahead and pay for it."
I look at my housekeeper with a look of 'Why do *I* get all the crazies?' and pick up the phone and have my front desk call the police and we exit the room.
When the police arrive, I give them the story and direct them down to the room. A short time later they wheel him out on a gurney and into an ambulance. They gather up all the money and remove that as well.
I never did hear back what happened to him.
That's just one story. I've worked in hotels for years.

More proof that the DC-NU is no longer interested in it's long-time fans. I was a Marvel Zombie growing up but had swung over to DC in the last ten years or so. Can't even find refuge there anymore. ***sigh***

I'm not sure HATE is the best word but Im sick sick sick to death of Wolverine. (Sorry Jason). I was never a huge Wolvie fan back in the day but he is a character now that will turn me off a book fast! And I'm swiftly getting there with Luke Cage and Iron Fist...but I think thats my disdain for Bendis and his shoving them down our throats every chance he gets.

Peter Rios would be my choice. It would be interesting to hear him talk it up with the guys.
As far as creators go, I think Jimmy Palmiotti might be a cool guy to have on the air.
I TOTALLY second the choice of Peter Rios!! I miss him on CGS. Kinda stopped listening after he left.
