I'm enjoying watching the Blue Jays in the Grapefruit league this year. Too bad about Granderson breaking his arm in pre-season though...
I'm starting to think about a combo Disney World & Spring Training trip with the kids in 2014 or 2015 (when our youngest should be old enough).

I can honestly say that they picked the right author to take over in Jordan's place, I think it took him about half-way thru Gathering Storm before he really found his footing and IMHO its been on par if not better than Eye of the World/Great Hunt/Dragon Reborn.
That's good news! If I didn't hear such good things about the posthumous volumes, I wouldn't even bother, but I think I will attempt to slog though the middle volumes in the interest of getting the whole story. Shakespeare it ain't, but I love a good loooong story

Ditto... That's my cue to finish seasons 1 & 2! Iread the first 2 books years ago. Honestly though, this series is so good, I am perfectly happy to just watch the series at this point. I have enough on the to-read pile

My thoughts exactly tuff ghost... they are announcing a lot of media guests so far. I'm looking forward to seeing the Pinis, and Neal Adams, but hopefully they will bring in a good group of creators as usual. I suppose the Nathan Fillions and Carrie Fishers sell more tickets though So far I have had a great experience every year, as far as meeting top notch crators, without a long wait. Got a nice George Perez Superman sketch ob the cover of my sketch book last year We will be there Friday & Saturday - maybe we can meet up for a meal or a drink. Anyone else who's going, please pipe up... I would be happy to book a restaurant for an EOC meetup on Saturday nite!

I'm interested too... if nobody has anything in the works, I would be happy to start up a Munden's Bar fantasy league on Yahoo.
I've never played fantasy baseball, but looking forward to taking a crack at it this year.
GO Blue Jays!

I'm really enjoying this title but like most of you I don't know what is going on.
I am right there with you... I'm a little lost, but in the best possible way . I just read the trade, and I can see how it might read better in monthly doses.

Happy Thanksgiving! My family and I are well into a quiet, relaxing holiday... I might go rollerblading, but if so, that will be the most ambitious I get today Cheers!

I had a great time, even though the fates seemed to be conspiring against me somewhat... Unfortunately, I was under the weather the whole time, and due to a scheduling snafu, we had to leave for the airport early Sunday morning Most of you will remeber me as the guy who lost his voice the first night I was in pretty rough shape, and took a sick day on MOnday... which of course looks really bad the day after a Vegas trip. ... anyway, the 11 0O'Clock meetup was great, and I didn't miss one of the panels on Saturday. Each one was worthwhile & entertaining. It was a real pleasure to meet Chris N, and a few other forumites. HUGE thanks go out to Mr. Gabe Infinity Watch for setting up the Beer-Hall meet-up. It was a perfect setting, and it was cool to see the Pawn Stars guys. I'm not a TV guy at all, but that's one of the few guilty pleasure shows I enjoy. I had a great chat with Jason Aaron about his Hellblazer run, and found Robert Kirman to be incredibly nice. Here's a not-at-all flattering pic of me with Kirkman... slightly medicated and alcoholated (myself, not RK): Other highlights: - My wife and I ripped up the outlet mall like never before on the Thursday. Neither one of us is a shopper really, but we gave it a go this trip.
- Went to see Wicked at the Smith Center Thursday night, which was great, and kept me in the good books with my wife.
- My wife says she now "gets" how I can be so passionate about comics. She actually made a trip to the library on her own to get the first 2 volumes of Y The Last Man, and is looking forward to reading Saga as well!
Win!!

Im still just trying to process all the amazing that happened this weekend. Eceryone was fantastic, and it was great to meet some of the EOCers. Got my book into 3 publishers hands (including DiDio). Got a Burnham sketch. Talked sigils with Morrison. Danced with JH Williams. Talked with Chris about archive editions. And so On and so pn. I'm glowing from all the good vibes.
Karma! I had a great time as well - will post a pic or two shortly.
