Yeah... you could pick out pretty much any Ennis issue and it's a better seller than pretty much any issue since he left the book.
I've been hoping the Aaron/Dillon series would catch on because it's been really great, probably my favorite Marvel book... as is so often the case, though, me loving a comic usually means it's not too long for this world. That's actually a lot of the reason I've been jumping on the Avengers, Spider-Man, and Batman books over the past couple years... these are books I can enjoy every month without fear of them going away whenever I get attached.
I think some of the problem might be that they didnt capitalise on Ennis leaving the book. Now I love Welcome to the Bayou and the other 2 arcs after Ennis were solid, but Aaron should have been the guy who followed Ennis from issue 61.
My enjoyment of those books is pretty low compared to Punishermax. In Punishermax I don't have to worry about them doing an OMIT, getting a characters voice wrong (Spidey in Avengers) or there being a Punisher inc. Dammit I want my solid Punisher monthly book, the one where he doesn't turn into some crappy monster. It's been my favourite book since In the Beginning part one. All I want from the comics industry is to keep publishing the book, thats it. When I'm low on cash I drop everything except the essentials which is right now and I can't even get my serving of violence!
A bit of a rant yes. Tends to happen in the mornings most as I do miss my morning cigarette. quitting is awesome and it sucks
