In lieu of pretty pictures, here are some words I think are about right.
"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it." - Confucius
"There is no exquisite beauty without some strangeness in the proportion." - Edgar Allan Poe
"I have an important message to deliver to all the cute people all over the world. If you're out there and you're cute, maybe you're beautiful. I just want to tell you somethin' — there's more of us UGLY MOTHERFUCKERS than you are, hey-y, so watch out." - Zappa

New Comer Drive - I am captivated by it. I love everything about this movie, and I can watch it beginning to end no problem. Girl Friend can not handle the violence. Everything is more or less ok until the elevator scene. She is elated by the passionate moment and then horrified to the point that she will not watch anymore mmediately afterwards. DID I MENTION HOW I LOVE THIS MOVIE
This is a great addition. I am completely in love with the film as well, definitely one of the newer movies that I've watched the most times in the last couple of years

You are all old!
When I was 22 I had just moved to New York from Denmark, worked full time in midtown, and went to grad school uptown in my lunch breaks. That's only four or five years ago, though.

This is the most boring, uninspired, uninteresting choice that they could ever get. Oh well I can go back to not giving a fuck now.
It's Disney and the Star Wars brand - were you expecting bold and daring experimentation?

I enjoy comics criticism quite a bit, but I would not want to make comic books my career - my dream job is something else entirely. The only people in the industry who truly have "dream jobs" (from my pov) are Gary Groth and Kim Thompson, and they both do it a lot better than I ever could

I'm not talking about the TV series.
I'm talking about a movie that was released in 1982 and after non-stop airings on cable ended up with a sequel seven years later.
... with a budget of $192,816. Something like this, David?

It would be great, but I doubt we'll see a sequel. In the past, movies that tanked this badly at the box office have not spawned any subsequent titles, regardless of how well they did in the home video market.
