(this queery comes from the guy who has two tv's next to each other so I can watch both football games, or I can play a video game while the wife watches HGTV......and just dipped his toes in and got an ipad last week)
I've been doing this for a couple of years. There's really no going back from it

Is there a happy medium or are we just too fickle and can never be satisfied.
I think both can be true. There can be a happy medium but we are a fickle bunch so even if that happy medium is reached, there will still be some that would be dissatisfied. A way to get around the "too wordy" comments without actually cutting back on words is to allow the word balloons to be turned on and off with the digital comics. Sure, there will still be a lot of words but at least you have the option of turning them off and just following the art. I've been telling this for years to anyone who'll listen because I got sick of some writers covering up the pretty art with their words. By the way, the above might fail (or lessen the reader's enjoyment) if the artist isn't good at telling the story with his/her art. I like it when I am able to enjoy a comic book and figure out the story even if I just look at the art. It might not be as fleshed out a story compared to if I read it with words but there are times when I feel like the characters are just rambling so I just follow the art (although I might go back and reread those words I skipped later on when I'm in the mood). I like wordiness to a certain extent since I'd probably get more words that way but it's kinda tragic when it obscures great art. I think this contributes to peoples' feelings of a comic being too wordy, when the words start to dominate the page. So maybe they could even find a way to display the words so that it does not obscure the art. Maybe the default setting could be no words then when you click on a panel, the non-active panels get dimmed and words get displayed over them so you can appreciate the active panel in full without and word balloons covering up the art. It would be nice to see artists get full use of the panels without worrying about where the words will be displayed although it would still be nice to have the option of having word balloons in a page.

Gabe loves the apes so it's great that he gets to draw them lots as opposed to just one ape in a book. Good for him and Corinna! I gotta check this out cos it's Gabe

Community is awesome! Certainly on my top five of recent comedy shows (which also includes Louie, Bored to Death, and the late but great Party Down.)
Agreed on all those. What's the deal with Bored to Death? Is it still going now that Ted Danson is doing CSI?

The girlfriend and I just started watching Modern Family. Surprisingly fun show Yeah it's great fun whenever I catch it. Sofia Vergara is icing on the cake I just started watching Community and it's bananas. I saw the first few episodes of season 1 and it didn't hook me but it got me back with that action movie parody episode.

I was initially excited for Terra Nova but some of the bad comments online are kinda turning me off. I might check it out if I have nothing better to watch.
I caught a bit of Charlie's Angels last night but I was too sleepy to pay attention.

The person (jack?) on the forum, if familiar with tcpdump or wireshark, might be able to get and inspect that data. Or anyone else you know that may be familiar with those programs (or some variant of them).
Sounds good, thanks for pointing me in the right direction

Something in the middle is intercepting the connection and redirecting the request or there is some malware on the site itself that's causing the redirection. Fortunately for you the name of the other site is not able to resolve, so the connection fails. There's not much else to go on though just from that data. You should see if someone can get the actual HTTP requests and responses (i.e. packet captures).
Cool, thanks for the info. Not really sure how to go about with the bolded part but I'll see if my brother knows what to do about it. Someone also suggested using an overseas proxy so I'll give it a shot when I get home.

Someone posted this over at the Optus forum at Whirlpool. No idea what it means. [jack@thebar : ~]# wget bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php --11:37:55-- http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php Resolving bullpenbulletinspodcast.com... 69.89.31.80 Connecting to bullpenbulletinspodcast.com|69.89.31.80|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 302 Found Location: http://tld-community.ru/level5/index.php [following] --11:37:56-- http://tld-community.ru/level5/index.php Resolving tld-community.ru... failed: Name or service not known. The '302 Found' message means the web server is redirecting you when you connect. From the HTTP/1.1 status code document at w3.org : 10.3.3 302 Found
The requested resource resides temporarily under a different URI. Since the redirection might be altered on occasion, the client SHOULD continue to use the Request-URI for future requests. This response is only cacheable if indicated by a Cache-Control or Expires header field.
The temporary URI SHOULD be given by the Location field in the response. Unless the request method was HEAD, the entity of the response SHOULD contain a short hypertext note with a hyperlink to the new URI(s).
If the 302 status code is received in response to a request other than GET or HEAD, the user agent MUST NOT automatically redirect the request unless it can be confirmed by the user, since this might change the conditions under which the request was issued.
Note: RFC 1945 and RFC 2068 specify that the client is not allowed to change the method on the redirected request. However, most existing user agent implementations treat 302 as if it were a 303 response, performing a GET on the Location field-value regardless of the original request method. The status codes 303 and 307 have been added for servers that wish to make unambiguously clear which kind of reaction is expected of the client.

Manapul handled this situation like a BOSS IMHO. Well done.
I can't agree more, what a class act. I've spoken to him briefly a couple of times and he sounds like the absolute nicest guy in the world. This is actually the first time hearing about the Shooter thing and I really feel for him on this.

i didn't think caveziel was a good choice for that role, it just felt like he was bored the whole time, just no enthusiasm.
I've heard this from other people. I can't say I disagree with it but I didn't mind. Maybe my standards are so low nowadays I read a review saying he had a sudden burst of emotion during one scene (I don't remember it) and that it would've been nice to see more of it. When they were showing the promos, I thought it was starring Eric Roberts. Am I alone in this?

I LOVE the different openings they use depending on what universe the episode is going to be about. We had a new one the first episode of the season for a universe. Yeah it's great. I always get a kick out of the sciency words that are displayed. The best one is the 80s opening
