Even though I'm not a die hard Apple fan, I love how they kept pushing everyone else to do better. I wasn't blown away by the iPhone or the iPad when they came out because I was already aware of those technologies. But other phone/tablet makers weren't really making good use of those technologies. They weren't really doing anything innovative and if they were, it was happening at a snail's pace. So Apple rides into town and tells everyone "we can do this better" and sets out to make products that everyone would be able to use. And they don't take baby steps and do incremental improvements like other companies, they take leaps. And this makes everyone else better because they have to catch up to Apple.
Maybe we could've achieved all that we have now without Steve Jobs and Apple. But it probably would've taken us a lot longer to do so. And it probably wouldn't have been as fun.
Sounds good! I'd rather get a cheaper digital version but at least this way, you can sell or give away the physical copy and hang onto the digital if you like.

That would be an interesting dynamic--to have the Xavier/Magneto dynamic be between Rosen and his daughter! Of course, daughter dear is aligned with people who have cold-bloodily murdered other people, so daughter dear's got her edges. That's kind of what led me to think she hates Rosen, though... She has to know how that would disturb him to know what she's doing with her life. Or maybe she just simply is doing what she feels ismright, and Rosen's feelings are just a casualty? But AGAIN again, she's been a junkie from way young pretty much because her home was broken and her father used her to manipulate her mother/ally. She can't be too non-passionate towards our dude.
I she was really mad at Rosen during most of the episode but I don't know if that's still the case by the end of the episode. Maybe she's still holding a grudge against Rosen after the finale or maybe she was able to release most of it when they did the empathy thing. It wasn't really clear to me. What struck me at the end was that her face seemed a little cold during that last scene. No outbursts or frustration or anything from the two of them. Like it's all just business. I kinda like that.
By the way, I did not think about her helping Apocalypse with regards to how to manipulate Rosen until you mentioned it. That's an interesting thought and it makes me wanna rewatch everything. Hopefully we see more of it next season.
This is messed up. I am far from the biggest Apple fan but he was a cool dude. He was more than just all the fancy gadgets and shit. Check out that Pixar documentary and see what he did for that company. Damn...... Rest in peace big guy.
Saw 2 Broke Girls a few days ago. Feels like a 90s sitcom. It wasn't bad, just not something that I'd seek out unless there was absolutely nothing else to do.
Saw parts of Terra Nova. I don't know, I can't get into it. It's not necessarily bad since I didn't exactly watch enough of it to be able to assess its quality but maybe it's just not my thing. And I freaking love dinosaurs.
My dad is loving Charlies Angels.
Ringer is either coming out soon here or the first episode already aired and I missed it. I'll have to check it out if you guys are digging it.

I had no idea about it all when I saw the first episode and I almost fell out of my chair when I saw him! Hilarious!
I love my 3G, but it is time to upgrade. A faster device with a new iOS means it might be time.
Probably worth upgrading if you're still on the 3G. My wife is on the 3GS and even if it's just for the camera I think I'd want her to upgrade so she can take nicer pictures. EOSHD says that that the camera sensor is actually capable of doing 4k video like the RED cameras. They probably won't enable it for the iPhone 4S and stick to 1080p video but that's pretty impressive.
Finally saw the finale, what a solid episode It's crazy how much more substance this show has when compared to Heroes.
Too bad about Anna. I hope it becomes something that motivates Gary as opposed to just something which is forgotten. Seems like a waste of an interesting character. I was thinking maybe she downloaded her consciousness into the tablet she was holding but that's probably too whacky sci-fi for the show.

I did not see the daughter + bad guy team up coming. I like how none of them are mad about what Rosen did. It's an 'interesting' development as opposed to the blind rage that comic book villains get into when their nemesis one ups them. But hey, if someone's been alive for so long maybe he's learned to be patient. I really hope they don't make him into a bwahahaha crazy mad type villain.
Hey Alan, I liked reading your thoughts on the finale.
I don't feel as though the daughter hates Rosen, or at least not anymore. I'd like to think that their moment at the end of the episode was genuine and that she just agrees with Apocalypse on how to deal with the Alphas situation. Sort of like the Charles and Erik thing where they don't necessarily hate each other but have different ways of going about things. But that's just how I'm reading it.
