Comiclink auction. Had to go all-in on somebody coming strong. But I was ultimately victorious. This will be my largest piece ever at 17x22. Yo Joe. Damn Chris, you just went from EOC OA fan to "Art Collector: Chris Campbell". Well played. Bean

Chris, 10 seconds into the intro music and I knew Vince was not on the episode. If the intro music was Uncle Tupelo, Two Cow Garage or Lucero, I would have named that tune in 3 notes.
Don't sell yourselves short. We love you all.

It's not often that that I shout at my TV/computer screen, but this was one of those times. "No, No, No, No, No, No!"
I recently let Tom know how much he was missed at C2E2 this year and he replied that he had a big announcement soon and would be there next year for sure. It sounds like he got burnt big time. I was hoping that he would be the next Ryan Browne like Kickstarter success story. I hope this can all be worked out.
My thoughts and best wishes are with Tom, his family and his future endeavors.

I pulled the trigger on Hickman's Avengers HC last night. I got that, OOP Yellow Pills Vol. 1 CD (at the criminally under-priced $8.99) and a book on home book binding coming my way thanks to Amazon.com!

Miles Davis- Bitches Brew (Legacy Edition). I tried listening to this years ago when I first discovered good Jazz. It was a bit much for me at the time. I understood the genius of the work. It was just not for me. Well, it's time to strap on my musical big boy pants and dive back in. I already know my tastes have matured enough that am loving it. My ears are all growed up!

I just finished Scalped Vol 7. Rez Blues. I really wish I would have picked up vol. 8 when I got this one (both were 1/2 off used). I tend to tear through the Scalped TPBs and then take some down time. They really rip me up emotionally. This one was the same, but I want to jump right back in. I can't understand why FX has not jumped all over this property. It is right up their alley.
I also picked up Showcase Presents: Our Army At War. I have thumbed through it and it is gorgeous. A literal who's who of silver age masters on the art. I had thought that these were all WWII stories, but there appears top be some Korean War and WWI in there too.
Lastly, I am thinking about NOS4A2 by Joe Hill on my kindle. I liked Heart Shaped box, but have not yet read Horns. I am hearing a lot of good things about his new book. Is anyone else reading it?

One of the few episodes that I have listened to more than once.
This C2E2 was my BEST of the last 3 for many reasons (all related to my dear friends from the EOC Forum).
Can't wait for next year. Can't wait for Wednesday with Wendi, Steven, Rowland, Chris Stark, et al.
Can't wait for Thursday drink, food and comics hosted by Wendi.
Can't wait for the Revolution meet up next year (followed by Lesbian Karaoke).
Can't wait for Stringer tattoo number 4 or maybe 5.
Can't wait to start my new (mini self bound) Antman or Wasp sketchbook.
Can't wait to see you all!

I didn't take a beginning pic (I should have), but hear is an ending. I tried my first attempt at home pickling. The Cucumbers are from my garden, but the rest are from the awesome Greek market nearby. Back row-Pears, Cukes, Cukes/Carrots/etc, more Pears, Apples. Front row-Red Onions. Blueberries Bean

O.K. gang, it's time to post the haul. All of my art was from my theme sketchbooks. I love these and think they may be the next "Jam Piece". It is so fun to get multiple interpretations of a character. I will probably start 2 or more next year (one will definitely be Ant Man/Wasp [self bound and small]). You could also have fun with themes (Characters wearing funny hats, Characters kissing, The last character that I would choose top draw.... etc.). Here we go..... The new Stilt Man self bound book. Our own Slurmo. Dude set the tone for the project. I love it! Joe Staton. One of the pricier pieces, but the man is a legend (I also love when the old timers bring their wives)! Denver Brubaker. The dude has mad skill and loves old school hardcore. We talked about Minor Threat and Black Flag the whole time he worked on this. Katie Cook does little quick watercolor sketches for $5. I asked her if she would do a LONG ONE and she willfully agreed. She only wanted to charge me the normal $5 for this but it took 3 times as long as the others. I reluctantly got her to take $10. Our own Devilhand. He is a monster who does not stop drawing except maybe when he sleeps (on a smallish loveseat). I am proud to call him my friend. DFWendi's buddy David. He did this at a bar (almost in the dark). I knew I liked him as soon as we discovered our shared love for Jaws. Tony Fleecs knocked it outta the park for so many of us. The dude is for reals! Remind me next year and I will tell you my Hillary Barta story. He seemed to hate every moment of this but kicked as. Here a some new images from my Deathlok book. I love this book because it was my first but not quite as fun as Stilt Man. Any Parks kicked ass Legend Bill Reinhold. Art and Franco both were so nice. A quickie by Eric Powell Hey look, it's our own John Boren (Bluenote). I love you guys! Another incredible piece by Devilhand One last note, the majority of these were free. If an artist did not charge me, I made sure they knew that I was going to give a donation to The Heroes Initiative in their honor. So what do you think? Bean

I was pretty busy most of the weekend, but I did make it out to the Thursday meet-up. That was a great experience, and I was very happy to finally meet the 11 O'Clock hosts and also quite a few forum members. Vince, Jason, David, Chris, Bean, Chris Stark, Chris C, Bean, everyone at the King Bone Press booth, and quite a few others - it was a pleasure to meet you all!!!! Hopefully I'll be able to make it out again next year and not be too busy to hang out a bit more.
I am honored to have met you twice. Thanks for the hook up on the Judge Dredd: Complete Case Files 3 and Alan Moore Future Shock! Bean

Here is my Stringer tattoo. I am in awe how incredible this turned out. I fell in love with this image when Zack posted it a while ago. I knew immediately that it must be a tattoo. The best news (for me) is that Brian will be in Tampa around September show. There may be more ink in my future! Bean
