So I just got around to watching the Finale of Next Food Network Star and ...yeah...so that happened... I honestly thought she was the worst of three remaining and looking back on the season it really annoys me how much they shoved her down our throats. Maybe it is just bad editing but it really seems like they decided she fit into what they wanted and as a result they overlooked a lot of flaws. Oh well another show I won't watch.

So I need to set my keepers, 14 team 4 keeper league.
QB Tom Brady, NE QB RB Kevin Faulk, NE RB RB Derrick Ward, TB RB RB/WR Sidney Rice, Min WR WR Santana Moss, Was WR WR Steve Smith, NYG WR TE Brent Celek, Phi TE D/ST Bengals D/ST, Cin D/ST K Lawrence Tynes, NYG K
Fred Taylor, NE RB Dolphins D/ST, Mia D/ST Joe Flacco, Bal QB Mark Clayton, Bal WR Dan Carpenter, Mia K Steve Slaton, Hou RB
I'm thinking Brady and Smith are definite, Celek was great last year but I have little faith in the Eagles with Kolb under center.
Any thoughts?

Boston is a very Latino city but it has like no Mexican population compared to places like Chicago or even Minneapolis. For good tacos I would do any of the following:
El Pelon - pretty authentic, and you can get a good grilled veggies one like in Mexico Annas - really good, especially the "al pastor" which are hard to get up here. Villa Mexico - never been there but it is supposed to be one of those hidden gems, behind a gas station.
Is Anna's actually as good as everyone says? It's one I always hear about but haven't gotten around to trying. And in general yeah Boston's Mexican restaurants not great, Herrera's downtown makes a decent burrito though I can't speak to it's authenticity as I am about as white as they come.

I thought I remembered hearing that the volume on commercials could only go as loud as the loudest point in a show or something like that, but as a result advertisers used the loudest moment, an explosion, gunshot or whatever and set that as their base.
Granted I have nothing to back this up and whoever told it to me could have been wrong but that's what I remember hearing.

Is there any chance that the songs involved in the Cartoon land are any good? Or is it all American Idol type stuff?
How much is a bus ticket from Gotham to say, Central City? Could I afford to get out of town when the stuff really hits the fan?
The songs are in the vein of a Disney musical or showtunes so if you enjoy that than you'll be happy. You have serious commitments in Gotham that keep you from being able to just up and leave for any kind of extended period of time or with great frequency, like I said before you could take vacations but ultimately the bulk of your time must be spent in Gotham. Alright these questions have been awesome but I am going to cut it off now and open it up to voting.

In this Cartoon Universe, is it like Toon Town from Who Frame Roger Rabbit? Will there be crossovers from other cartoons like Disney, WB, Tex Avery? In Gotham are the major events you speak of just the ones from Batman or does that include other events that seem to happen and some how something happens in Gotham because of it like Infinite Crisis and Darkest Night? Yes other cartoon characters could appear yes there could be world changing DCU events that occur, if it has happened in Gotham it could happen

Can I take up villainy in Gotham? Batman doesn't kill, so there wouldn't be a risk there... Sure you could if that's the kind of person you are, but remember just because Batman doesn't kill doesn't mean you wouldn't cross some other villain who does.

Why do I get the feeling you always it around thinking of questions like these and this game has just given you an outlet for them? Which Gotham is this? Am I having to worry about Batman: The Animated Series Croc or Amazing Spider-Man: Grimm Hunt Croc? In cartoon land, is Michael Eisner an evil King, demanding fealty from all? This is whichever version of Gotham you find scariest No he is more of a benevolent Deity, more of a demi god really

Do other cartoon characteristics apply to the cartoon universe? Like being able to survive falling off a cliff, or birds flying around your head if you get hit with a mallet? If I try to cook in a frying pan, is it going to stop singing and start screaming bloody murder from being on the stove? Will I ever experience a moment of privacy again? Do toilets sing?
Do I have a safehouse in Gotham where I can hide out when the shit's going down? Am I allowed to leave Gotham for a while? Am I an old high school friend of the Joker? What are my chances of hooking up with the Huntress? And, is there any chance of me being deputized by Batman?
You are not immortal or a cartoon, the world is the same as ours but everything is anthropomorphic so no basically no privacy again, pans may enjoy being hot who knows, but possibly yes they could scream. And yes toilets can sing. If in real life you could afford a safe house than sure, but if you're barely covering your rent than odds are you wouldn't have a hideaway. Sure you could take a vacation but you have something, job family etc that really keeps you tied to Gotham. No you don't know the Joker, Same as hooking up with any other chick you happened to meet, and no you cannot be Robin.

Am I a villain in Gotham? Do I know Catwoman?
You are an average person in Gotham, your odds of knowing Catwoman are the same as your odds of currently knowing your local congressman.

Agreed, of all the people who are left I might watch a show with Tom, although honstley his food hasn't wowed me, and I might watch something with Herb's new Cuban direction, but he's far too up and down to win. Overall not a strong season and I don't see anyone who wins lasting very long.

In the cartoon universe, do I know the words to the songs that break out so I can sing along? Are they songs I like?
Does the height of chaos in Gotham mean that there's no Batman in the city to take care of the problem? Would I be a regular citizen, a cop, or on one of the criminals' crew? With all that chaos going on, how long would the lines at the bank be?
In the cartoon universe you are exactly who you are now, so you may know some of the songs but not all and if you're the kind of person who would sing long than sure And Batman is around but we're talking constant threat of being blown up by the joker, killed by two face, eaten by Croc all during the course of you living your life. In this scenario you are again still you, you're just an average person. Nothing is stopping you from joining one of the gangs if that's the kind of thing you'd do.

Alright, would you rather
a) Live in a cartoon world where everything is anthropomorphized (not really a word?) and occasionally songs break out
or
b) Live in Gotham city at the height of chaos in the Batman Universe

All signed up and ready to go!
I'm in he 2nd league and I was just wondering if anyone else was going to have a conflict with the draft being on labor day weekend? If not I'll figure something out but I wouldn't mind moving it, even just pushing it out to Monday night? Again if it's only me than no worries.
