I need to get on point with my commission work and just turn that into, "Buy something off my Amazon wish list for drawings." This is actually brilliant.

We (the boys and myself) need only Shelob and the Mirkwood set and we will have all of the fellowship from LOTR and the company of dwarves from the Hobbit. I will say they are so far my favorite sets. Bag End is nearly complete and looks great on my desk.
Chima looks really cool. The designs are pretty awesome so far. Stuff seems to get better and better although I will admit to not being overly impressed with the turtle sets so far. Although the figs themselves look great.

I will have to admit the only sport I am actively trying to watch this year is wrestling. 2 of my former team mates are at the games this year. Shon Lewis is head coach for the Greco-Roman Olympic team, and Dremiel Byers is wrestling at 120 kg class. Bother were honestly awesome people when I served with them and wrestled with them. Byers is a beast. I honestly think he will take gold. Keep an eye out for him if you watch wrestling.

my buddy was a merch guy for hatebreed for years, his name was josh. i feel bad cause i'm blanking on his last name right now, but we were briefly in a band called Buy One Get One Free Charles Manson together.
Josh Grden. That's my boy man, great dude. He is still on my friends list as it were but have not seen him in like 4+ years-ish. Since I left CT area. His band Scurvy was the best. Polly want a beatdown! however on a side note- everyone who listens to music should listen to Bloodshot Hooligans. Seriously one of the best outfits to come out of the area period.

My LEGO chess set arrived. My kids are awesome. The set is simple but pretty sweet deal.

Good news is we went back to the well and had a great experience at the same store this past week (two new sets). On an unrelated note, I scored a 70 minifigure lot from an eBay seller that was KICK ASS! Came out to roughly $0.80 per mini-fig. Well played sir, well played. That is a very nice score.

Oh yeah not that it matters but I figured since I asked you all I would mention as well I was in 2 small bands both early 2000's ish. The Blood of Thousands - cheesy beatdown style. the band went on to become Fight Night. I also did a brief stint in Untold Truth (but I sucked at bass so was booted- truth), and finally Under My Skin. Which to be honest was one of the funnest bands to play with ever. good kids fun shows etc. Got to play with a bunch of bands etc. I toured mostly as a hanger on / terrible roadie with Hatebreed, and Full Blown Chaos.

Kids got me Weathertop for Father's Day BTW. I think i mentioned it in the Father's Day thread. it is actually very very awesome. Tons of little detail and much more of a substantial build than I thought it was going to be.
Need Helms Deep and the Mines of Moria.

Mamouns was awesome too because like in the late 80's early 90's Tune Inn shows and Funhouse shows and shit would get out just after the train stopped running southbound so me and my boys would skate over there and stay mad mad late then chill at the train station until the first train back.
Anyone remember the Tune Inn riot where all the Nazi @ holes got stomped? I think (hazy memory on this one) but I think it was same fight/riot when Boulder (RIP) squared up and the cop took off his belt and fought him, and proceeded to get his face pounded in.
I miss New Haven then. Legal Wall, Beineke, Mamouns, The Daily, 10x Dope.
Small world yall.
Anyone here play in any bands from CT or NYC, Mass, NJ etc?

ah, yeah, i left CT in 99, was still around a bit after that, but not nearly as much.
damn, you lived in new haven? this is just like a crazy reunion going on. i'm actually wearing my mamoun's shirt right now.
I LOVE Mamoun's!!!! seriously I live in Maine and anytime I make it to CT with a spare moment I headed back there. Me and my boy Tyrone used to go on Christmas eve every year because it was one of the only places opened. The New Haven riot on the green...well I got maced, and in attempt to get it out of my eyes my friends dumped me into that little statue going towards dunkin donuts and that has the little fountain (which was mostly sitting water and 6" deep) basically thrown head first into a stone puddle. I LOVE/HATE CT. Tons of friends still there, my family still there. Easy as hell to get a band together there. But the rest of it could mostly burn. Love skating CT though. I lived all over there too. Stratford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Hamden, Shelton. Oh and great tattoo shops.

I don't know too many people with fond Cornerstone memories who aren't. yes i am. slow suicide stratford. south end. as far the riots...yeah i remember the older ones on new haven green as well back in the jasta days and leach mob. the skatepark one i dont think i was at I was in the service from 94 to 99. but honestly I moved out of CT in like 04 ish. Still got mad friends down there. Probably do know a lot of the same heads the scene was small enough.

chalk up one more hardcore kid" to the list. although I will be 36 in 11 days so i don't know about the kid thing.. i will say i would have liked the figure. the operation ivy guy would be amazing. and so would the old cornerstone kid.
...but admittedly I have not been edge in years and years. but i still support anyone who holds true to it.
