I remember at the last NYCC there was a woman wearing nothing but a few well placed leaves and she seemed annoyed by the guys taking her picture. I don't think any person should be harassed by another sexually or otherwise but why would you go half naked to a con if you don't want attention?

And to all who were bothered by either I'd tell 'em to go scratch.

Couldn't disagree more.

I find Old School, Elf, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy, Wedding Crashers, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Megamind and The Campaign all to be highly entertaining and easily rewatchable. I will grant you that his hit rate in the last 5 years pales in comparison to his early productivity, but he's still put out a career that is right near the top of modern comedic actors.

I would take almost all those films over ANY Adam Sandler film, that's for sure.

His more adult work like Old School,Talladega Nights and Anchorman are hilarious but I cant get through Elf.

I've heard a lot of people suggest that they appreciate Kirby's influence but are not particularly drawn into his style. While I think they're flipping NUTS  , I also recognize it's not an unusually rare opinion. For those people, who don't gravitate toward the art but rather the importance of the man, it would make sense they wouldn't feel much affinity for those who draw in a style close to Kirby's.

But those people are, to reiterate, NUTS.

I recognize his contribution to the medium but I've never been a fan of the art. But I do like some more contemporary artists who i think encompass some of Kirby's style but at the same time do not feel dated in their work. His show of kinetic energy on the page was phenomenal especially at the time. And now that I'm reading Marvel The Untold Story right now I have even more of an appreciation for his work ethic and creativity especially with the constraints of the time.

I think if you go into it looking for the ways it doesn't sync with Year one than you will hate it right from the start. But if you like Snyder's take on Batman I think it could be a fun story to read.
