One thing about the current x-books that I'm not vibing with is Rogue. I feel like I'm being told how important Rogue is to the X-universe but it feels like they are over doing. I dropped X-men Legacy because I got tired of the all Rogue spotlight. I did enjoy the first run of Mike Carey's run but it was because I got to see more of a team but now its all Rogue time. And with the addition of magneto now it feels like an episode of some CW teen drama. Will Rogue pick Gambit or Magneto and insert sappy pop song here.

Been reading the Superman books since 1979 and Ive read many different takes on Superman by alot of different writers. Their are only a few that have made me feel the way i felt when i first watched the Superman movie and JMS did that with this issue.

I love Brightest day and the drama that will come from the new Aqua Lad is how would you feel if your most hated enemy was the mentor to your only son? Not only that but what if your responsible for the death of that same enemies son? If you look pass all the fanboy rhetoric and just look at that premise I think it has the potential to be a kick ass story.

Scott Summers did what no other mutant was doing and that was come up with a plan to help preserve their race without trying to conquer another. Chris Claremonts X-men brought me to the x-men party and Matt Faction is still keeping me here. I love how dire the dream is right now and no matter what Scott hasnt lost it but modified it to fight whats going on now. The problem with Xavier and Magneto is that they never could adapt their plans to the changing worlds around them and because of it Scott and co have passed them by. And I love the conflict hes having with people he basically grew up with. I would love to see how Jean would react to him now.

Peter Tomasi did a beautiful job writing Nightwing before Dick took the mantle. Morrisson has the hype but dont sleep on Tomasi and gleason either. This is a solid team that has proven to be able to do the great character moments but at the sametime do the kick ass action. I dont get the Tony Daniel hate because he wrote 2 arcs worth of good batman stories. That book stayed in the top 10 and it wasnt just because of the art because thats not a garantee in staying in the top 10. im also looking forward to David Finch doing a Batman story.

Hey, all Wood was asking you and anyone else debating the piracy topic, was to move it to another thread. This thread is about what we talked about on Episode 117. We didn't talk about piracy.
I'm glad you're here, and like to thoughtfully debate on the forum. Please respect the wishes of the mods.
Darrell respects the mods

Everything, no it wasn't an action packed episode but it was a great character driven episode with some fantastic moments. When they bring Vincent to the gallery? Amazing.
I must be dead inside I didnt feel any emotion at all when I watched it.
