Change doesn't come easy, unfortunately.
Yes, but "What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly." Does that even fit here? Jeez, I should really have all of my coffee before I try and interact with people. I feel like I sound like Ron Burgundy: "When in Rome..."

I don't watch much TV. In fact, the only shows I make a point to watch are LOST[...]
Karma for that. I denied the delicious goodness of Lost until a couple of months ago. Now my wife and I are bordering on obsessed with it.

Vince, I'm 16, and I have seen a crap load of Seinfeld.
Jump on that ball, man!!!!!!

Then, when you've grown to love the mighty George Costanza, watch Curb Your Enthusiasm to see the real-life inspiration at work.

I just got my Friday night tix for IMAX! Dude, 3 tix via Fandango was $50.00 (or pert near). One of my friends I got a ticket for couldn't wait anymore and took his little brother last night. He did not hesitate to pay $15 to go see it again 3 days later. Good sign! I'll let you know what the IMAX experience is like.

That was my gut reaction to Sale's cover. Take it or leave it, I guess. I don't think it's done in a style appropriate to the character or the high-profile nature of the project (not to say that a cover HAS to be either of those things to work). It just looks like a weak effort to these eyes. Maybe I should have used a few less U's. Just messing with you. I took yr podcast comments to be directed at people who pick up a book and see an unfamiliar artist's work and say "That blows" and move on continually bashing them, sometimes with an oddly personal ire. You know Sale's work and were saying that it wasn't up to his usual quality, didn't fit the project, etc. That's an informed opinion. Those are awesome.

I wonder if it's a Libsyn thing. Marvel Noise uses FeedBurner, 11OCC uses Libsyn. I'll have to go back and look at the list you wrote of shows that DO download.
And I'll have to get you some info on RSS catchers.
I think it is Libsyn, 'cause if I try and DL it directly from its page, I get a page from my work that says it's been filtered due to being flagged as an MP3/filesharing site. No sweat. Thanks, though!

JR, are you still having download issues?
If I remember correctly, I kinda let that 'RSS' thing hang in the air, didn't I?
Dude! You remembered! karma to you for that. I was waiting to see if that slipped into limbo. Yeah, man, I don't get it. Marvel Noise updates just fine and will be on my PC at work tomorrow. I've had to subscribe to 11 O'Clock at home and then put the show on a thumb drive and then take it to work (OR, play Mr. Do & Bagman on my MAME emulator and listen to the show over the weekend while Renee and Athena [my daughter] take naps, WAAAAY better than working on that honey-do list!) The transfer's a pain, but I'll live. Thanks for the follow-through, man!

It's not that bad Vince. I like it.
Me, too. I think (in light of his musings on Internet critics in episode eight) that he meant that he doesn't really respond to it.

Great episode, guys...however, I have figured out a major flaw with your show...it's too short. Quite simply, I have started ignoring other podcasts that I normally queue up as they are released in order to listen to yours
Ditto. Unless my other comics podcasts have a guest who's a writer/artist/other creative force on them, I've been letting them pile up and then deleting them after a while. This show's great because it's like sitting in yr neighborhood bar with yr buddies shooting the shit about comics, life, and booze. (Three very important things) Okay, that simile's flawed, but you get my point.

I fear scarecr0w-esque wrath if you dislike the characterization or stories.
Que? Who is this "scarecr0w" you speak of? edit: Oh, wait. I think I remember that guy. Never mind.

Listening to the voicemail left by Tom in episode 12 and I'm wondering how exactly does Brand New Day equal shark jumping? Unless I'm not quite grasping the term (which I always thought to mean the characters or story/plot of a show/comic head toward the ridiculous or asinine, have passed their peak and the quality has dipped), I'm of the mind that Amazing Spider-Man is better now than it has been in recent years.
Wouldn't the Gwen/Norman thing mean that shark has jumped? Or the Spider totem? Or organic web-shooters? Or maybe some might think Doom shedding a tear in ASM #36?
But BND? Nah.
Totally. Karma. Jeez, David, do you have the other half my medallion, long-lost-twin?

Here is one more: Skyscrapers of the Midwest (Adhouse Books)
I just finished that collection and I think she'd like it. Milk-Teeth looks awesome! This is also a great thread for me. I've been a Marvel Zombie for so long, this forum has got me out buying indie collections for the first time in ages.

That Sinister Six story totally showed how Weisman respects all the incarnations, you know? The suit starts out looking like the movie and over the course of a couple episodes becomes the classic all-black as it takes Pete over. Oh, and...karma back to you.
