Wood, I'm curious, do your boys have access to your room?

Yes they do

Quote
I know you're cool with them reading comics, but surely there is some content in those HCs you don't want them stumbling onto just yet.

Absolutely but they're too young to know which is which, and have zero interest (so far) in finding stuff to read on their own. They only are into comics when I'm reading them. At some point (probably sooner than I care to believe), when their hormones and curiosity for more adult entertainment ramps, I'll have to put some limits and rearrange a smidge.

It's funny, but listening to you, it's clear your a HC nut. You get the chubbs over sexy oversized editions and what-not, but that doesn't seem to translate to prose books. Rocking out with the soft cover of World War Z and that Stephen King book.

Very true. Prose books, in general, are just things for me to read, and re-read. There are exceptions though, and I CONCEPTUALLY am into the idea of first printings of some of my favorite works. Just haven't pulled the trigger outside of buying a first print Hitchhiker's Guide volume on eBay a few months ago to celebrate my tat.

Quote
And I'm a big fan of the limited use of statues. I love looking at other people's massive collections of figures, statues, and all, but I think the more pulled back "collections" look the best.

Thanks man! I love statues and appreciate people who have tons of them. But I can get addictive by nature and figured I would TRY to limit my statues to my favorite characters. I need a Deadpool statue, and would definitely buy Blink and/or Domino statues if they were available.

Spiders aren't rampant, and certainly there are probably a few in each room in the house at given points of time. They don't spread like the plague though and actually help keep other pests under control. Beyond that we keep the house very clean.

I have a very small studio/comics 'study' in my basement. Creepy crawlers are fairly frequent by virtue of being in the basement. And at least two or three times a week, I'll be drawing or reading in the studio only to see something crawling or hopping by. I mean, the type of bugs where you're like 'GOTdamn, who made that s**t up?!'

HAHA!  Adrian, you mean the kind of crawlies that make you think some of the creators in Stan Winston's studio are just out of view holding the strings to the damn thing?  'GOTDammit tha'GOTDamn!

I opened the grill on the patio early this summer and saw a spider oiled up and posin' muscle magazine style.

LOL! Exactly, Brax!
Some ol' 'special effects from John Carpenter's The Thing'-ass bugs!

And I believe on your grill story too. It's happened to me as well.

My kids have limited interest right now as well. But, I did install a lock for my comic book room. I lock it up when my kids have their friends over.  No

If it's not full figure, it's bitchassness (trademark of Julian Lytle Enterprises).

Busts don't show off the junk in the trunk, ergo, there's no room for them in my 'ville.

True! Gotta see that back porch, sir.

But that Domino bust would actually be alright if only they didn't stack actual dominoes around the base.
Feels kind of cheezy to me...
