You're off by a few hours.  Franky was the Jesus-lookin' dude we met when we first walked into the Center on our way to get the press passes.  Right after I picked up the professional pass, I believe.

Yes you went on the line to pick up your pro passes. I went on line to pick up my pro passes as well but the lines were divided up by last names ( A-E, F-k.. etc) and my line was empty(sweet). got my pass and broke out to find my amigo. I think David had a few on his line...

i know this might be a little off topic but in regards to art work being in our man caves or comic room, how do most of you  hang up a fav. comic signed by the writer or artist? do you frame them?  Are there any  certain kinds of frames? i want to start a small collection of comics that i like and display them .
any one have any thoughts on this  please share or PM me
thanks a lot Smiley

If you look at my pics, you'll see I bought some cheap plastic card stands that are large enough to handle the weight of a mylared comic book. Puts the books on full display without any risk of bending or compression.  Thumbs Up

Stellar work as usual.  The way that you adjusted your style in Vince's Man Thing (TWSS  Tongue) was what really struck me.  When an artist can show a wide range that impresses me even more.  Looking forward to catching up with you soon.  Texas is big but not that big.  LOL.

When the "Yellow Ladder #2" vocals started up, the first thing I thought of was Nico with the Velvet Underground, so I guess it's not surprising that that's where they got their band name.

It was weird to hear Mike Myers the actor referred to as "Michael Myers".  My brain wanted to insert images of Wood shaking hands with a dude with a mask of flesh over his face.  Run away, Wood, ruuuuun!

Anyone interested in ordering Prison Pit, LISTEN UP for a great deal!

I just ordered both volumes from www.fantagraphics.com for dirt cheap!

Each book is $12.99 but there is a special for ordering both. You get them both for 20% ($20.78).

Now. You may be thinking: "I can get them for cheaper somewhere else and not pay shipping."

But wait!  Fantagraphics is running a special coupon right now (GOODNEWS) that gives 20% off with free shipping through October 20th!  I thought that, since I already had 20%, I would just get the free shipping (which would have been good enough) I entered the coupon code GOODNEWS upon checkout and was shocked to see that I got an additional 20% off of the $20.78!!! And free shipping!!

Both books coming to me for a paltry sum of $16.62!!!

Holy sh*t!   Swinging

EDIT: And each book comes with a free signed book plate!!!   Rock Horns

NICE!

Hopefully I can convince Renee to let me spend the 16 bucks since we're not getting paid again until the 22nd.

I bet if you ordered on the 20th, you wouldn't get billed until at least the 22nd.

Lotta good stuff over there. Also, a lot of "Order THIS BOOK with THIS BOOK for additional amount off". Then you add that extra 20% on and It's On Like Donkey Kong.

Whatchoo order, Jason?
