http://comicbook.com/blog/2013/02/22/comic-artist-scott-clark-dead-at-43/

Quote
Scott Clark, the longtime WildStorm, Aspen and DC Comics artist, passed away yesterday, according to his Facebook page. He was 43.

Clark, who established himself with some smaller publishers in the early ’90s, really became known through his work with WildStorm. After some time working on Marvel titles, he returned to the (now DC-owned) WildStorm universe after a brief fling with Aspen Comics and some work on DC company projects like Justice League: Cry for Justice and Brightest Day. Most recently, he drew the New 52 run on Grifter.

He passed away too young...... RIP

His Storm Watch blew my mind. Out of all the second wave Image artists, he was my favorite.

R.I.P. It's sad to see another great talent go before his time.

This is really sad news. He was too young to die. My thoughts are with his family.

I still remember the first time I saw his art. It was in Stormwatch and I thought it was great. And he continued to do great work over the decades.

Last few years we've lost legends, but none effect me like this loss, an artist who was actually of my time, the true Golden Age of comics.

Stormwatch was the joint, and though most people talk about the Ellis and Robinson work, it always felt like the unheralded precursor to a lot of team books to come from jump. Not sure I'd call him my favorite of the second wave of Image artists (Kieth, Charest,  Keown, Manabat etc), but he was dope for sure. Stormwatch was good shit.

He also worked on Deathmate Black, making him VALIANT fam via eskimo brother, thus better than all those who never worked in a book with a  VALIANT character involved.

What really shocks me about this is that I talked to him at Morrisoncon. We were literally chatting about different ways to use the iPad in our work. Like I don't know what happened. It's rare you meet people you grew up looking at in comics and get to talk about the work with and now that he's passed it's all weird in my brain...

I saw the title of the thread and thought it was some OTHER Scott Clark.  43 is waaay too young.  RIP to a great creator who I've enjoyed a lot over the years.

Was very sad to hear about this.  Jim Lee had an eye for talent back in the early days of Image and Scott Clark on Stormwatch was the reason I picked up that title back in the 90's.  Condolences out to his family and friends. Cry

I loved his stormwatch and Alpha flight work up to Grifter. I always felt that greg land ripped him off poorly
