I'll do you one better. I don't even know what the fuck the eras are anymore. The eras seem to enjoy using Marvel Comics sliding timeline. That was actually why I went back and edited my post to include Bronze Age comics as well, since I often have a hard time distinguishing between the two!

Pretty sure there's never been much of an argument as to when the Silver Age (Showcase #4) started. The Bronze Age may not have an exact issue, but it's 1970-ish. And runs until the mid-80s with Crisis on Infinite Earths and Secret Wars.

This is where my main confusion lies. I get the overall chronology, which begins the Silver Age in 1956 and ends the Bronze Age in 1985, but the early to mid-1970s are very fuzzy for me. This is of coure mainly due to my own ignorance and lack of experience with the comics of the time. I'm a whelp

The Bronze Age may not have an exact issue, but it's 1970-ish. I have always thought Green Lantern #76 was a good reference point for when the Bronze Age probably started.

That works, since it's early 1970.

Some say it's Conan the barbarian #1 that marks its start

I feel like Giant Sized X-Men #1 marks Bronze for Marvel, but DC clung to Silver (or at least Silver-style) longer. Is the 1st appearance of the New Teen Titans a good marker?

I think the one-two punch of Kirby leaving Marvel and Conan#1 really provide the start of Marvel's Bronze. Also, so much high quality work in Marvel horror's line predates Giant-Size X-Men#1 and I would never consider those books as part of the silver age. And though I agree that DC held onto Silver customs far, far longer, New Teen Titans is just too late in the game. That provides less than a five year span between that debut and Crisis. Plus, I will always think of the Fourth World as a Bronze Age creation and that has to be factored in.

Ah, yeah. I'm a dope today how could I forget? It's the bronze that's tricky for me and when people try to create new names for eras in the 80's, 90's etc. I'ma bbig dummy when it comes to these things

I've never read any incarnation of a Big Two team book that I thought was truly exceptional. Read nearly all of the 90's JLA (and to double my shame, I feel Morrison's work, as a whole on the book (with the exception of the Quitely OGN), was just slightly below Waid's and Kelly's runs), old Justice League team-up issues in the Multiple Crises trades, the new Justice League series, Morrison's X-men and Dark Phoenix Saga, and Wolfman's Teen Titans. None rose above "that was pretty good" to me. I should probably just admit defeat at this point.

Can't you see it though being used as a 70's-80's era cartoon adaptation?

GSX is way too late. I've always argued Conan #1, but if one wants to point to the superhero line specifically, an argument could be made for ASM #121. Spidey was the flagship and within a year you'd have the Death of Gwen Stacy and the intro of the Punisher, who I'd agree is post-Conan sensibility.
