Mark Millar to me is the most fascinating writer in modern mainstream action comics. He gets the best artists, he tells smaller contained stories and he has a flair for the kind of action that I don't get from most other Superhero books. I feel that he gets unfairly maligned for the content of his stories when the craft is so apparent.

I'm working on being tolerant. Not "more". Simply "just". Plus, you have to remember: this is slurmo we're talking about.

I was just joking guys. I'll probably start the 4th issue tonight or tomorrow. I'm under duress from Harry Moyer to "reserve judgment until i finish the series" but I'm diggin it so far.

I just finished the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for the first time. I have to say, I never understood why Moore was so upset with Hollywood. Now I know. While the movie LXG was an adequate summer popcorn flick, the book was so much more than a brainless summer movie. I'm ready to grab my pitchfork and walk shoulder to shoulder with the bearded man and march on tinsel town.

My confession is that I still haven't read any of the LOEG books. I WANT to but never get around to doing it.

I just confessed this in another thread, but I feel that I need to say it here as well. ...I was addicted to Bart Sears' "how to draw comics" articles in Wizard Magazine during the early 90s. So much so that it's influenced my art today. btw, I still love Bart Sears' work.
