I think so... also the first part of the "3" arc (y'know, the one that promises one of the 4 will die and nothing will ever be the same again etc blah blah blah). That drew some extra interest.

I guess I need to give Hickmans run a try, I was just wondering because the consensus I have heard on the internet so far was "meh". Nobody was even angry or trolling, just not that interested.
As for last stories I liked, I was kind of into the Marvel Knights 4 series... there was something really funny about a broke Fantastic Four trying to make ends meet and bonding along the way.

Leave the book as is w/ Hickman as writer & various talented artists that are suited for the book. Tired of the damn naysayers crapping on the only good Marvel book that isnt Criminal. Matthew I FF!!!

First of all get D and A on the book. Second send the entire family into space for a long period. You don't need to kill a member of the FF perhaps instead have Johnny or Reed go crazy for a while. Ben could even leave the team for a while and he just stick with New Avengers. Amadeus Cho could cover Earth and have a substitute FF for Earth (in a backup).

I wanted to make a joke earlier about doing a "Young FF" book to bost sales but I dont know if it would work. That said Amadeus Cho, Rockslide... who would make a good Sue and Jonny?

Stature for Sue. For Johnny should it be someone that can fly? Have fire-based powers?

I was unaware it needed fixing as I think it's awesome, but I seem to be in the minority on this and since i've only been reading FF for about a year, perhaps I'm wrong.
Yeah, I guess I'm in the camp of not thinking that it needs to be fixed. I love what Hickman is doing and seriously think that this stretch has a chance to go down as one of the greats. We just need (not that we should have a vote beyond not buying FF) to let Hickman have free reign to keep doing what I feel like he's already doing. I can see where Hickman stories aren't for everyone, they're definitely a slow burn. The stories that are going on right now really don't feel like "nothing happens", which I'm seeing as a pretty frequent complaint. It feels like the opening moves of a chess game, where pieces are being moved into place for the inevitable shit storm of excitement.
Don't do anything. Ff rocks
This right here.
i honestly don't think it needs to be fixed. like everyone else, i agree that a consistent artist would go a long way, but mostly just cause the edwards stuff was ok, but definitely not the best. i might be in a minority here, but i didn't really like the waid stuff. i don't think fantastic four needs to deal with religious concepts.
I too am VERY MUCH enjoying the current incarnation of the Fantastic Four, much more than I have in a long long time. From what I can tell, there's quite a few voices here that agree with that sentiment. It doesn't need fixed, let Hickman flesh out his vision. He's got a cohesive story, that is touching a lot of parts of the FF lore, and it is one of very few books that I'm reading right now that I am loving. The last panel of the most recent issue was GOLD.

I'm with you. However, you can't please all of the people all of the time. While I'm loving the series now, all the suggested changes sound really terrible to me. "Fixing it" to grab an audience with one set of sensibilities will likely alienate another audience segment.

Remember how much everyone was bitching about Morrison's Batman Run around RIP? And now it seems we are all on the same page that when looked at as a whole his Batman run is epically awesome? I think Hickman's FF run will be looked at the same way in a year or two.

I don't think we all agree on that LOL. But that is another can of worms.. I think what the FF need are some encounters with bold new characters, for instance how about a story where the FF have to train a new team (Young Avengers or something like them), and there is a traitor in the midst. I don't know if cancelling is the best way, but sometimes it DOES seem to drum up buzz when it comes back.

I'm not on that page. His Batman run (especially near the end) was not to my liking, even in retrospect.

Which just cements your point of what one person likes another might not. I missed a lot of Morrisons run but I did enjoy (lukewarm) his Batman and Robin. I want to check out Hickman's run on FF now... is there anything collected yet? I'm not much of a single issue guy so as you can tell I'm usually behind on everything or not entirely aware of everything. Btw a good "Jonny Storm" for a Young FF team would be Firestar. Not only does she have the appropriate powers but that would also make her the oldest and most experienced member, inverting the way the FF work. Mmm... now I wish somebody did at least a one shot.

Can't compare Batman to the FF, cause Batman always sells.
I don't know how to fix the FF or want to think about it. Cause if I'm thinking about it Marvel should be paying to do so.
