another great episode guys loved the lengthy TWD talk. What say you make each episode and extra 45 minutes for the next 5 weeks and keep goin deep into the TWD TV talk while still having the comic talk at that 2 hr mark? I can totally live with a 3hr episode. i'm just sayin...

Vinnie Vin Vince, I ABSOLUTELY love the infectious way you talk about the crazy comics you're digging on. I just sincerely wish you weren't SO enthusiastic that you feel you have to SPOIL every one of them. I don't want to turn this into a "should spoilers happen" thread, so I won't touch the specifics of the Neonomicon spoiler, but one of the other things I LOVE about this podcast is that it isn't "THIS WEEK IN COMICS". Pretty much anything they talk about is at least a couple week old, so I've usually already read it or have no plans to. And since they are often talking about stuff that is a couple of issues old, they have a chance to talk about the story arc instead of dissecting the details of Captain American #511. There's a place for that kinda review, but ComicVine and iFanboy have that quasi-comprehensive weekly review angle covered well.

Seriously. Tap dancing around potential spoilers kills conversation.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that anyone who is willing to ride with me is well aware what kind of trip they're going to receive. If my style of driving doesn't sit well with you, don't get in the car. One of the other three guys will be along shortly to pick you up. I too loved the talk on Neonomicon and I'm glad that Alan Moore is pushing at the boundaries of art/horror/porn/anything with his work and that Vince is willing to discuss it as much as he does. And there was so much going on in this book that the talk could have gone on for a whole episode, and that would have been great too! Isn't modern society and it's media outlets in danger of being too banal and safe as it is?

GREAT!! Show any TWD talk for however long is fine by me Chris's disclaimers, best line " we talked about walking dead for over an hour ...deal with it " the show was great and i'm up on the trades. enjoying the show every week and always look forward to the banter between everyone. i do have a question? how would you go about telling someone that The walking Dead isn't all about zombies?? comic books open your mind never judge a book by it's cover.

Just wanna go into this episode with my eyes wide open. the Tiki The gang kept their comments to the episode that aired which covered the first issue and part of the second issue in the trade. If you have watched the show they didn't spoil anything outside of the episode that has aired.

how would you go about telling someone that The walking Dead isn't all about zombies??
Tell them it's about society and the individual people who make it up. It's about how those individuals act and react in the face of a major threat. It's about how people form societies in the absence of a larger, pre-existing civilization of authority and governance. It's about how people create their own laws and find their own leaders when the status quo is razed. It's about the choices people are forced to make when they face unusual circumstances. It's about life and it's about death. If they don't seem intrigued, tell them when and where they can see Two and a Half Men.

C'mon Chris, it's Soof-yahn, not Suff-jann. Oh god, did I just turn into one of those people? Yes, I did. Seriously though, great episode. I'm not sure how you managed to talk about Walking Dead for an hour and I still feel like nothing big was spoiled, but you did and I love you all for it.

I can't wait to actually TALK about The Walking Dead.
And 50 years after its run has ended, people will be free to speak openly about it. I got really scared you were going to spoil the end of M*A*S*H* for me last week, Chris, when you guys were talking about desert-island shows.

Fuck it.... Just do it (with the appropriate spoiler warning, of course). I am so sick of pussy-footing around this topic and being inhibited from talking about my favorite comic book. The darn thing is years old. I've gone to a more "discussion of the issue" format for my reviews of TWD and web traffic has gone up. Can you imagine if we weren't allowed to talk about what was going on in the Marvel and DC universes 6 years ago?

I always hear that there are no new formats available for comic podcasts... I think we just discovered one. the Tiki

I don't see it as the same thing. One is a self contained universe and the other spans multiple comic titles where one character's actions can cause a ripple effect.

You also have to think of the people waiting for the esparanto audio book of the first story arc!

And to be clear: I'm not anti-spoiler, I just try to respect the creators' stories and let the readers find those 'first time moments' on their own.
