Felipe nailed it on everything!
I love Concrete ( ...but do not own), now I have the after the omnibus part of Cap, always wanted to try Hack/Slash, an Ernie Chan cover Kamandi #45 with early Giffen art), Creepy goodness and EC greatness and a Ditko Spiderman card. Score!
Some may know that my mom got me into reading comics, so she is enjoying the fruit also.
Ruth is happy!

I just wanted to send a huge thank you and shout out to bean who sent me some fantastic items that I wanted to share with everyone.  He sent the following: Rock Horns
American Flagg 1-27
The entire run of Avengers Forever
The entire run of Camelot 3000
Kamandi, 22,24-26,30-31
Howard Chaykin Solo #4
and Avengers 189

What a great box of goodies I was sent and I am forever greatful.  This being my first full year on the boards this event really has been a capper to what has been a great year for me here.  I was never shot down or snarked at for questions, but got answers I was looking for.  Many of you have given me so many ideas of what to read and look at that my passion for the hobby has exploded.  So thanks to the rest of you for giving me a hobby that I really enjoy and a place that I can talk about it as well.  Also, thanks again bean it really was an amazing package.

Your welcome.  I hope you like American Flagg.  I know you like DMZ.  There are some similar themes between the two.  In my opinion it is one of the top 5 most important independent comics of the 80s (along with Love and Rockets, Mage, Nexus, and TMNT).

The other stuff was dupes that I hope you like.  They are some of my favorite stories.

I got my second package from Mr Mike Smith, and it is a HAUL!

First, I received an original Color Guide from Uncanny X-Men 145 featuring both Angel and Wolverine:

Then yesterday, I opened a box packed full of comics and trades:

Most of these I've never heard of, but both "Stuff of Legend" and "Atomic Robo" are books I've never read, but were both on my list of things to pick up at some point.  The issues of Proof are great too, since I've read the first trade but haven't gone any further with the series.

Here's the list:
* X-Men 145 Page 5 Color Guide
* PROOF issues 11-20
* The Stuff of Legend
* Tommysaurus Rex
* Atomic Robo vol. 1
* Smoke & Mirror (signed with a sketch on the inside cover!)
* Potlatch Project
* Icecreamlandia
* The Roll Deep Crew
* R13 Issue 1

Thanks Mike!, and Merry Christmas!!!

 Cheers

I talked to jacobi, and it seems his package was stolen from his porch. UPS tracking said it was delivered, but jacobi never got it. This is a real bummer. I filed a claim for the package, and we'll see what happens, but still I feel bad about the whole thing.

Man that sux, but there was nothing you could do about it. Do not kick yourself over it. Pretty slack them just leaving it on the porch. Is that normal practice?

Man some people sure can suck.

I'd like to send a big ol thank you and virtual Christmas hug to Mr Brian N., formerly icewing here on the forums.
I told him I had read Scalped, 100 Bullets, and The Walking Dead but hadn't gotten much further with non superhero stuff. I also mentioned I had never gotten into spiderman because I didn't really know where to jump in.
I gave him a list of 10 or so series I was interested in not thinking I would get this much. The man hooked me up.

I got the following trades:
Y the Last Man vol.1
Preacher vol.1
The Unwritten vol.1
House of Mystery vol.1
Hellboy vol.1
Hard Time (a Hellblazer trade)
Spider-Man Brand New Day vol.1

WOW!! Thanks Brian I guarantee this will be the best gift I get this year.
Merry Christmas everybody
