No strangers here. I have found that the Eleven o'clock forums = instant family... ...a geeky, dysfunctional, alcoholic family, but a family nonetheless.
Hey, can we all give Thermite here some massive karma? If you go a page back, you will see (through no fault of his own) that I didn't receive my original secret santa package from the awesome Phillies64. He told me what was in my lost/stolen package though, and it was an awesome haul. Anyways, after hearing this, Thermite offers to send me something. Now, of course this wasn't necessary, but he wanted to hook a brother up. I get the package today and it's pretty goddamn rad. In the box was: Marvel Adventures Iron-Man vols 1-3 Comic Book Villains DVD (which has Natasha Lyonne in it! ) Comic Book The Movie DVD Seriously, how cool is that? Thermite is one generous dude. Thanks again! I'm going to dive into those Iron Man's, and also share them with my little cuz (I think he'll love them too).

David's package (hehe) finally made it Down Under. And what a package!
Starman Vol 1&2 Ex Machina Vol 1&2 Supreme by Alan Moore
Way, WAY too generous, but such awesome stuff. I'm nearly finished with the first Starman and it's great, why did I not read this sooner??
Thanks again David!

They are very generous and I am very happy to receive them: - Superman: The Man of Steel TPB (Byrne, Wolfman and Ordway) - Spiderman: Brand New Day TPBs for vol 1 and vol 2! - The Dark X-Men mini series (I really like Leonard Kirk!) - SMOKE #1-3 from IDB ( I am not familiar with it but the art looks great!) - Ressurection: Insuregent Edition from Oni press (Guggenheim!) - Phil Hester's The Athiest mini series (nice!) and - The Losers Vol TPB from Vertigo (Diggle and Jock)
That was very nice of you Devin. Thank you.

Sorry for the late posting but wanted to thank Sampsa for his awesome parcel! As you can see, he gave me an awesome selection of european comics, none of which i had!!! And the icing on the cake was the original art! He asked me who my favorite hero and villain were, then he got his brother to create the pictures. as you can see, both images are finished and colored, and he also provided the original pencils for the wonder woman, and i believe finished inks for the deathstroke! Thanks again for such an awesome and personal gift!!! PS i think he spent a FORTUNE shipping my package, so double props! i think it cost him 48 euro to send!!!

Shawn's package apparently arrived before Christmas but NOBODY LEFT ME A DELIVERY SLIP! I got the final notice on Friday so I ran over before the post office closed and I got some great stuff!
The Black Coat Vol. 1 (signed by Ben Lichius!) SubCulture #1-4 Mercury & The Murd Vol. 1 Agents of C.O.L.T. Vol. 1 Tupac Shakur Legacy and a bunch of DVDs (Police Story series, Only Angels Have Wings, and a few that skip my mind at the moment)
That was a great present, Shawn; thanks so much! I can't wait to dig in and enjoy them.

I am such a doofus. I received my Christmas swag awhile ago and never posted it. The outstanding Andrew a.k.a. Fist-of-Khonshu shipped me the Midnight Nation Volume One (this book is HUGE), Garth Ennis' Just A Pilgrim TPB (I've always wanted this book!), and The Extremist#1 from Vertigo Resurrected. All these books are lovely. And mad Karma to Andrew a.k.a. Fist-of-Khonshu for shipping these from afar. Thanks again for making this thread. These gifts are kick-ass. -Shawn

First, I would like to apologize to ChrisCCL for not posting and singing his praises much sooner then now. The holidays, a impromptu vacation with the wife then crazy new years work schedule kept me from doing this properly. Chris is an amazing secret Santa. I received his package early in December but waited to open it until Christmas day. It was a very hard thing to do but it was so gratifying opening it on Christmas day. Chris was way to generous with his gifts. There's a huge combination of hardcovers, mainstream and Indy stuff along with some really cool extras. Here's a quick pic; Included in this mountain of books is; Underground Classics: The Transformation of Comics into Comix Captain Action: The Original Super-Hero Action Figure Johnny Cash: I See a Darkness Bring Out Your Dead Volume One: It Tolls For Thee An issue of Back Issue Magazine The Comic Book Podcast Companion: with interviews with the AC crew Atomika Vol 1: God Is Red Howard Chaykin: Power and Glory TPB Logicomix Be a Man mini Comic Pride of Baghdad HC Six From Sirius TPB Whiteout #1&2 Fantastic Four #2 DVD Fraggle Rock Volume 1 Dan Dare HC Postcards: True Stories That Never Happened HC It's really way to much Theres quite a few in here that have been on my want list, Pride of Baghdad and Johnny Cash on the very short want list, I'm very excited to read those. The other ones all look fantastic and can't wait to dive into them. Thanks Chris N Travis N
