Great month Monsta.  I loved everyone's old... and new takes on their characters.  This month I'm in charge so I'll just cut all of the pomp and circumstance and get right to it.

*******************************************

OK everyone.  I haven't taken the reigns in awhile, but May is gonna' be my month.  I just came back from an awesome weekend at C2E2 (where I bought 2 sets of Copic warm & cool grays and Copic MultiLiner's.  Now... I'm ready to use them.

So here's what we're gonna' do.  We're gonna' draw...

 Hearts HeartsCheesecake Hearts Hearts

That's right fanboys and fangirls, we're doing good girl art in the styles of... and inspired by... such modern masters of the form as

Adam Hughes   Drool

Terry Dodson   Downtown

Arthur Adams I'd Hit It Sign

and Frank Cho  Swooning

Now here's the catch... like any good tease, you have to put spoiler tags on them.  Also, to keep in theme with the art of the tease, there can be NO nudity (This means that you can't show the naughty bits).  Make your drawings as sexy as you can, but keep it within the guidelines.  But most importantly HAVE FUN DRAWING!!

Lastly, I've already said that I believe that this month will set a record for most views in a month  Whistle.  But it would be SUPER COOL if we could knock down the "most pages record" set by the Spidey-villians month too.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

So you want obscure?

How about

Fusion: The Twin Terror!?

He's from Amazing Spider-Man #208

I'm not thrilled with this one but I tried.  See below for the original figure used to get there.

I used a Marvel Henchman.  For me, its tougher to reduce a figure than to add parts to it.  I had to take off all of the extra stuff to get as smooth a surface as possible.  I also had to cut down his torso, arms and legs to get the dwarf features.  Ultimately the head was too small so I used a Puppet Master head.  The base figure was painted yellow with a yellow ink wash.  From there I added a few dry brush coats of lighter yellow.  Next, I worked in revers order of normal shading.  I dry brushed light orange, orange and finally red with a last drybrush application of yellow.  Kirby Crackle was the last step.  Its a bitch to get right and am only half pleased with my Kirby Crackle.

Well, I hope you all like my alternative approach to the challenge and am looking forward to having something to submit next month.

Bean

YES! Nice work there! I always kind of liked Fusion. Not for any particular reason I can remember, probably that great cover...

Gordo, that first sketch looks like Quick Man from Mega Man 2.  I don't know what Spidey villain he is, but I love Mega Man  Thumbs Up

Another weak showing from myself this month. Hopefully, next month I'll get back into the swing of things. Life made me its bitch this month.  Undecided

Here's a super quick Electro. Cool villain, awful costume. Now, I'm going to kick back for a bit, take a look at the thread, and see what y'all have been up to...

Venom.
Probably my last one. Really enjoyed this - thanks for letting me play!
There has been some truly fantastic work done here from the light-hearted to the highly professional - I've been left slack jawed and drooling on a daily basis (okay - more slack jawed and drooling than usual)
