Sorry I'm late guys.  A pretty heavy rainstorm put my computer out of commission for awhile, so I gotta do this at work over my lunch break.

As you can see below, Bryan Boles is in charge.

Go get 'em.

*******************************************

EOC TAKES OVER:

My turn again.   Boogie

Remember this thread? http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=16112.0

I dug Mr. Cardenas  idea and was super flattered to be thought of for some truly great characters. So the challenge this month is to do a sketch, page, pitch, comic, whatever you feel like, of one of the suggestions in the thread linked above. If you were not mentioned either pick a character you would love a crack at and go to town on that, or post in the thread, pm me or email me boles297@gmail.com and we will assign one for you.

So go to work, let’s take it over.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

Still not cheating.  It's Kirby created characters.
Done in Kirby's style/design is cool, but this counts for me. Yes

Sadly I did not inherit the incredible artistic ability of my Father.  A few of you out there know that I adore cover recreations.  I have been toying with the idea of a non-artist doing cover recreation with just a ball point pen and small journal (approx 3-1/2" X 5-1/2").  Here are 2 of my most recent experiments.
Please be kind.  I am not an artist.  I am bearing my soul to the forum here.

It's all good, beano.  I really like these.
Like your post, there is a direct honesty to them.
Your not aping anyone.  You're just being you.

I think it would be cool if some comics actually used
things like this for variant covers.
Screw zombies.  Give me this!  IT IS FUN.

Sorry if I have offended any of the REAL artists out there.
Bean

 hellno

Leave that shit at the door. you put pen to paper, you belong. Do it your way. In my eyes being an artist doesn't rely on output or percieved quaity of said output, but the sincerity of it. You're one of us, you've been one of us even if you never posted. EOC family.

besides, I dig them!  Yes
