Great month Monsta.  I loved everyone's old... and new takes on their characters.  This month I'm in charge so I'll just cut all of the pomp and circumstance and get right to it.

*******************************************

OK everyone.  I haven't taken the reigns in awhile, but May is gonna' be my month.  I just came back from an awesome weekend at C2E2 (where I bought 2 sets of Copic warm & cool grays and Copic MultiLiner's.  Now... I'm ready to use them.

So here's what we're gonna' do.  We're gonna' draw...

 Hearts HeartsCheesecake Hearts Hearts

That's right fanboys and fangirls, we're doing good girl art in the styles of... and inspired by... such modern masters of the form as

Adam Hughes   Drool

Terry Dodson   Downtown

Arthur Adams I'd Hit It Sign

and Frank Cho  Swooning

Now here's the catch... like any good tease, you have to put spoiler tags on them.  Also, to keep in theme with the art of the tease, there can be NO nudity (This means that you can't show the naughty bits).  Make your drawings as sexy as you can, but keep it within the guidelines.  But most importantly HAVE FUN DRAWING!!

Lastly, I've already said that I believe that this month will set a record for most views in a month  Whistle.  But it would be SUPER COOL if we could knock down the "most pages record" set by the Spidey-villians month too.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

Man, there's been some BITCHIN' stuff this month! People are really bringing their A-game for Jack's creations. Jun Bob Kim was gracious enough to let me colour up his Kamandi piece. Thanks, Jun Bob! Not Worthy

You guys killed it! There has been some absolute beautiful work done over the past month. I'm so glad everyone had so much fun with the subject.

Now, sadly, I have to post mine. After the past month I really didn't want to, but here goes:

This is one of the most positive and encouraging sketching thread I've seen. If you EVER had the desire to draw something, the only "shame-on-you" you will get from me is for NOT drawing. ;-)

Yes  couldn't have said it better.

So much fun!  I felt the same way ...especially having to post right around JunBob.  Doh!
It makes me feel like a weird, delusional American Idol auditioner.

This month was so much fun that I bought Batman: Brave & Bold #15 with ZERO hesitation.

Great job everyone!! I really wanted to do 1 more but the anthology is kicking my butt. So sadly I never got to do my epic "Black Racer" pinup. Cry  If anyone draws me a Black Racer today (1/31/12) I'll draw the subject of your choice for next month. Thumbs Up

Sorry I've been so absent for a year.  Crazy life stuff (mostly good things).  I missed you guys though.

Based off the painting by Francisco Goya, Saturn Devouring His Son.

It kinda goes with all the smoking ads in a strange way. It's a shot of the character doing something besides just staring. I don't know.

I'm weird.

First of all, thanks you Andrew for a great topic to kick off the new year. It seemed like this great idea got everyone back into the game after all those holiday commitments.

Speaking of commitments...

I know many of you are working under the gun, being held by slurmo and Jonnythehomicidaldrummer, to finish your pieces for the EOC Anthology. (Deadline is Feb. 6 by the way). SO, this month, I want everyone to take a deep breath and relax. After the sixth, I'm giving you free reign to go back and enjoy all the wonderful artwork that has been posted and find one that you might have missed, wanted more time to finish, or something you wanted to do again. Find a topic from the past and create a new piece. You've had editors beating down your door to finish your artwork for one thing or another, now it's your chance to work on something YOU want to do. Find a topic from the past year and knock it out of the ballpark.

Looking forward to all of your work!
Thanks,
Bluenote77

Behind the curtian...

Someone (I think Mickey, Monsta, or someone, it gets confusing sometimes) suggested the way back machine on Skype N Draw. I thought it was a great idea and we went with it.

Also, thank you Andrew Tom for fixing my "under the guy" typo, that came out way wrong! ("under the gun")

I'm thinking about going back to Gabe's JSA month.  If I remember, I slacked on that month.  Besides, I want to draw Wildcat.

Then again, maybe I'll draw Spaceboy again just cause he's fun.   Cheesy
