Sorry I'm late guys.  A pretty heavy rainstorm put my computer out of commission for awhile, so I gotta do this at work over my lunch break.

As you can see below, Bryan Boles is in charge.

Go get 'em.

*******************************************

EOC TAKES OVER:

My turn again.   Boogie

Remember this thread? http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=16112.0

I dug Mr. Cardenas  idea and was super flattered to be thought of for some truly great characters. So the challenge this month is to do a sketch, page, pitch, comic, whatever you feel like, of one of the suggestions in the thread linked above. If you were not mentioned either pick a character you would love a crack at and go to town on that, or post in the thread, pm me or email me boles297@gmail.com and we will assign one for you.

So go to work, let’s take it over.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

There is a hint of what I'm doing this month. Yes

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."

Roll Eyes I can't begin to tell you how many times I've heard Timothy repeat this quote.

Here's an early entry.  One of my kids saw the sketch I did of Starscream and they started begging me for a Bumblebee.  Robots in disguise are sci fi.

I'm going to try to throw a few pictures in the mix this month.

BOB IS A CHEATER FACE!!!!

both from 2009 (I think) The Dead Space was for fun. The Terminator was for a t-shirt design for my friend's bachelor party, but sadly, his now wife wouldn't let him have a bach party.  Roll Eyes

His name is Edgar, nicknamed Ed 209 but he loves drawing Terminator. There was going to be text of course and a super imposed scope sight a la Public Enemy logo because that's his favorite rap group... It would have been dope.  Angry

Awww, yeah! You're all bringing it! Slurmo, love the Isaac love (dude needs some after all the shit he puts up with) and the bad-ass Terminator!

Harry Moyer, the contrast in those colours are very striking and reminds me I really need to start playing with monochrome and two tone colour schemes.

BryanB, TreverC, always room for some older pieces, especially when they rock  Rock Horns

And with that, I submit my *cough* late *cough* February submission.  Yet another kick-ass piece by mister Jun Bob Kim (speaking of which, stunning Metabaron)! Pretty pleased with this, though there were some things in my mind that didn't quite come out on the page.  Decided to try some new techniques and just ran outta time.  Oh, well. C'est la vie.

Oh, and Jon O? Way to bring the Transformers love.  They hadn't even occurred to me when I was listing examples (I'm ashamed to say Embarrassed).

Keep it up everybody. We're off to a strong start.

My first color Non-Fantastic Four Project cover recreation.

This is even smaller format (3-1/2 X 5-1/2) but follows all of the same rules.

Charlton Comic's Space 1999 Issue 5.

I suspect Gordo will approve of the subject choice.

I love the Dune pieces and the rest are just great too.

Here's a non-Dune piece (although I'm sure I'm going to visit it sometime this month) - Predator
