Sorry I'm late guys.  A pretty heavy rainstorm put my computer out of commission for awhile, so I gotta do this at work over my lunch break.

As you can see below, Bryan Boles is in charge.

Go get 'em.

*******************************************

EOC TAKES OVER:

My turn again.   Boogie

Remember this thread? http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=16112.0

I dug Mr. Cardenas  idea and was super flattered to be thought of for some truly great characters. So the challenge this month is to do a sketch, page, pitch, comic, whatever you feel like, of one of the suggestions in the thread linked above. If you were not mentioned either pick a character you would love a crack at and go to town on that, or post in the thread, pm me or email me boles297@gmail.com and we will assign one for you.

So go to work, let’s take it over.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

Nice!!   Cheesy

Quick sketches...slow sketches...it doesn't matter, as long as you had fun.  Besides, I'm a sucker for the "loose & sketchy style".

Wow, in the matter of less than a minute, you guys had me feeling the full range of emotion.  From depression to cracking up laughing.  This is exactly what good art does.  Great job guys!!

Both of these sketches were brilliant.  Jon's was like a punch to the gut.  It kind of had the same impact as those images of soldiers standing in front a memorial remembering fallen brothers.  It was really great and definitely made me think about how to say more with my own art.

You're piece made me laugh, which is something that I never expected with a Cap piece.  I would've expected that cover to be on a Tom Strong book but not Cap which made it all the more fun.  I think my favorite "little nazi" is the one biting Cap's shield.

   Thumbs Up

btw, Mickey...Didn't you already draw a Kick@$$ Cap piece?

I'm only as far as the silhouette, but I wanted to share some progress with y'all. Goin' for a pose somewhere between Kirby and Garney. Never drawn Cap before, but I'm excited to get to work on this in earnest on Thursday!

It's right before bed when inspiration strikes
So I grabbed the first piece of paper in sight
Sleepily I scribble
Quickly I tape
A few moments later I have something great
An idea
A start
I scan
Then sleep...................

I dig it - I was going back and forth about doing the ultimate WWII Cap when I was roughing out the pose earlier, glad to see that look make an appearance on here.

Hehe, thanks! I looooove me some Captain America. Easily in my top 5 all-time fave heroes. I could do this all day.  Hearts

Sim, I love the face on that first Cap. Totally get that that's Ultimate Cap, and not some wimpy French lovin' Steve Rogers  Wink Nice work!

Monsta, Awesome WWII Cap! I really like the sense of motion that sketch has.

Monsta... thanks for putting the Red skull in there.  WW2 cap is my favorite.  Looks great.   Thumbs Up

Sim...I think it was Sergeant Apone in Aliens that had the line that came to mind when I first saw your Ultimate Cap..."Absolute Bad-asses!!"
