Sorry I'm late guys.  A pretty heavy rainstorm put my computer out of commission for awhile, so I gotta do this at work over my lunch break.

As you can see below, Bryan Boles is in charge.

Go get 'em.

*******************************************

EOC TAKES OVER:

My turn again.   Boogie

Remember this thread? http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=16112.0

I dug Mr. Cardenas  idea and was super flattered to be thought of for some truly great characters. So the challenge this month is to do a sketch, page, pitch, comic, whatever you feel like, of one of the suggestions in the thread linked above. If you were not mentioned either pick a character you would love a crack at and go to town on that, or post in the thread, pm me or email me boles297@gmail.com and we will assign one for you.

So go to work, let’s take it over.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

Agree with almost all of that.  Awesome stuff.

Here's my latest.  This sketching lark is helping me when I hit a boring patch at work and need to take my mind off it.  Can't spend too much time but it helps to recharge me.  I also like trying to use the limited equipment I have in the office.  This one is a Wampa in sharpy and whiteout pen.  (I had some cool blue folders that I used as a background...)

Simple but fun.

Here is an oldy but a goody.

I did some early pencils and then went over that with my new brush-pen.  Very different experience compared to the pens I have been using.

I find women to be extremely challenging.

And then there are the drawings.   BA DA BUMP!!!

Thanks.  I actually envisioned it much simpler but once I started with the whiteout pen I couldn't stop.  Reasonably happy with the way it turned out but wish I knew when to stop sometimes, you know?

Love you Princess Leia in the golden bikini.  About time we saw one of those.   Yes

Here's a quicky done with a mechanical pencil.  ( The blue cheapy Pentel one from work, not my typical Kho-i-noor rapidomatic ).  Done in my 11x17 Blue Line Pro Sketchbook, so no scan (Photo from my son's cheap camera).  Still hoping to get one more in this month.

You guys are bustin' my balls.  You all know how slow I am.  I make Art Adams, Adam Hughes, and Frank Quitely look like Mark Bagley (in regards to the speed department).

A couple of hours is a quickie for me  Cheesy  Unless of course you ask my wife.  Embarrassed

NiceNBlue...Nice drawing! Only thing missing is the black velvet. Haha

Monsta... Cheesy...I like... Yes

Exodus...I thought that was a Gene Simmons Wampa, but then realized, "oh yeah that's probably blood". Nice use of materials on hand. I gotta sketch at work every once in a while too.

Lawrence...Sweet little doodle there. Doesn't matter if you're a writer or artist...just KEEP DRAWING!

Vernson..'Bout Time! I was getting nervous that there wasn't going to Leia Bikini. And brotha, you delivered. The brush marks worked great w/ those curves.

Andrew...Quick or not, I want you to go back and get that thing INKED! Great composition, he feels larger than life, just like he should.

Sorry if I missed anyone!
Karma to all!

The blank face, the stark contrasting uniforms, the never ending number of them...

The Stormtroopers were petrifying when first on the screen. But yet again, the Prequels had to explain them as idiots because of a clone of a clone of a clone of a clone, well you get the point.

BTW I decided to take some pictures of my basement studio for the hey of it. I thought it would be cool to share.
