Sorry I'm late guys.  A pretty heavy rainstorm put my computer out of commission for awhile, so I gotta do this at work over my lunch break.

As you can see below, Bryan Boles is in charge.

Go get 'em.

*******************************************

EOC TAKES OVER:

My turn again.   Boogie

Remember this thread? http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=16112.0

I dug Mr. Cardenas  idea and was super flattered to be thought of for some truly great characters. So the challenge this month is to do a sketch, page, pitch, comic, whatever you feel like, of one of the suggestions in the thread linked above. If you were not mentioned either pick a character you would love a crack at and go to town on that, or post in the thread, pm me or email me boles297@gmail.com and we will assign one for you.

So go to work, let’s take it over.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

One final hurrah for me for Lawrence's month. I hope he likes it. Felipe has called it the true prelude to schism. I just call it "KISSY".

 D'awwwww! Kiss Kiss Kiss

And a great big Thumbs Up for October's pick!

It's not quite 10:00 here so I'll just call this sketch that I did a couple months ago, "batting practice".  Here's something to kick off October...btw, Slurmo, I've been waiting for someone to pick Monsters since I started this thread in December of last year.  WAHOOO!!!

I'm really looking forward to this month. I had to get one under my belt. Since I'll working on some anthology as well, I'll have to set aside some serious time for this thread...

# 1 ~ Quick sketch as soon as I saw this month's challenge. Ball point pen on copy paper. Quick and dirty. I know I've promised thing's in the past, but I will be very prolific with this Monster Mash Month!

No No lookit all the cheaters this month and it's only the 1st!  Wink

looking good monsta & andrewtom I'll let ya slide this time, but I better see some October 2011 drawn images soon  Tongue

Bluenote77 knocked it out of the park with his Bride!  Yes Classic and bold. Look at the eyes... Hearts

Gordo with a "quick and dirty" sketch of Frankenstein's monster.  Rock Horns if this is the style of you being quick, I don't want to see you take your time an anything!

This month is off to a tremendous start. We have the classics AND we have my favorites...swamp monsters!

Thanks! What I mean by quick and dirty, is automatic drawing, no erasing.
Fun exercise.

I can tell already that this month is going to be awesome. Great Call!

Gordo...Great "dirty" piece. You know I like to keep dirty, dirty you know that I do.

Monsta, Andy...speaking of dirty, great cheater pieces, but I'm with Slurmo. I'll be excited to see new pieces.

Karma to all...

Great swampy stuff Monsta and Andy. Super inspiring!
I echo Slurmo with Blunote77's Bride. Line quality to covet.
Hopefully buying some new supplies this weekend to stare at me everyday.
Thanks for this thread, guys!

Whoa, good stuff so far, all this on the first day of the month!

Here's mine.

I was messing around with Manga Studio. LOVE the control you have over screen tones.
