Great month Monsta.  I loved everyone's old... and new takes on their characters.  This month I'm in charge so I'll just cut all of the pomp and circumstance and get right to it.

*******************************************

OK everyone.  I haven't taken the reigns in awhile, but May is gonna' be my month.  I just came back from an awesome weekend at C2E2 (where I bought 2 sets of Copic warm & cool grays and Copic MultiLiner's.  Now... I'm ready to use them.

So here's what we're gonna' do.  We're gonna' draw...

 Hearts HeartsCheesecake Hearts Hearts

That's right fanboys and fangirls, we're doing good girl art in the styles of... and inspired by... such modern masters of the form as

Adam Hughes   Drool

Terry Dodson   Downtown

Arthur Adams I'd Hit It Sign

and Frank Cho  Swooning

Now here's the catch... like any good tease, you have to put spoiler tags on them.  Also, to keep in theme with the art of the tease, there can be NO nudity (This means that you can't show the naughty bits).  Make your drawings as sexy as you can, but keep it within the guidelines.  But most importantly HAVE FUN DRAWING!!

Lastly, I've already said that I believe that this month will set a record for most views in a month  Whistle.  But it would be SUPER COOL if we could knock down the "most pages record" set by the Spidey-villians month too.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

P.S. Thanks Guys Rock Horns
I'll have to give this some thought...no I don't, SPIDEY VILLIAN! Anit-Venom.

I got a chance to sneak downstairs tonight and do some drawing. I decided to take a couple of progression shots. I could look at how people make drawing decisions all day.

Uh... if you count more thoroughly, it's actually 3 Black Racers....

BTW, going back on the previous challenges, I've noticed that the editors' challenge posts are NOT available on the thread. I'm just wondering if there were some details of the challenge (especially do's and don'ts") that I may be missing. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, a couple of the editors... (Vince and Wood I think) just edited my "master post" for the month instead of posting in the body of the thread.  All of the other topics (except Captain America) should be able to be found in the body of the thread.

Wood's month was pretty straight forward, but Vince's had a lot of rules to it.  If anyone remembers Vince's rules, please step in and help out (I stayed out of that one 'cause I'm reading Fables in hardcover and was trying to remain spoiler free).

Vince's had Three Rules, here's one:

Rub #2: UNFORTUNATELY, it has come to the attention of Vertigo editorial that the rights to the following characters are being contested by...someone (namely, ME):

Bigby Wolf
Snow
Rose Red
Jack
The Adversary

I know another rule was NO INK. Any other medium is ok.

Can't remember the third...

I "think" it had to be a splash, 2-page cover???

Vernon you're right.  It had to be a cover for the 100th issue I believe. Back to front wrap a round, I think.

you do know that now anyone else can draw a Black Racer because of this month's rule. Are you ready for an onslaught of drawing requests?  Evil

No It's clearly modified I mean, stated that they had to be drawn on 1/31/12. But if you draw me a Black Racer Slurmo I will honor your request.

Thank you sharing the details on the previous challenges, gents! The month is rolling along pretty nice, with the Cap and TMNT!

When I went back to check out the entire challenge, I was FLOORED with the TMNT challenge, especially the "Mutant Tutles" version! BEAUTIMOUS! So at the risk of disappointing some of the peeps that think, for some reason, I could do a decent TMNT piece, here is the pencils:

<Click on the image to see a larger version>

I made detailed out the pencils because I wanted to "experiment" with the inks on this piece, inking them in possibly two different styles. If someone may be interested playing around with inking/finishing this piece also, PM me. I will sending you a 300dpi file that you could print out and ink.
