Great month Monsta.  I loved everyone's old... and new takes on their characters.  This month I'm in charge so I'll just cut all of the pomp and circumstance and get right to it.

*******************************************

OK everyone.  I haven't taken the reigns in awhile, but May is gonna' be my month.  I just came back from an awesome weekend at C2E2 (where I bought 2 sets of Copic warm & cool grays and Copic MultiLiner's.  Now... I'm ready to use them.

So here's what we're gonna' do.  We're gonna' draw...

 Hearts HeartsCheesecake Hearts Hearts

That's right fanboys and fangirls, we're doing good girl art in the styles of... and inspired by... such modern masters of the form as

Adam Hughes   Drool

Terry Dodson   Downtown

Arthur Adams I'd Hit It Sign

and Frank Cho  Swooning

Now here's the catch... like any good tease, you have to put spoiler tags on them.  Also, to keep in theme with the art of the tease, there can be NO nudity (This means that you can't show the naughty bits).  Make your drawings as sexy as you can, but keep it within the guidelines.  But most importantly HAVE FUN DRAWING!!

Lastly, I've already said that I believe that this month will set a record for most views in a month  Whistle.  But it would be SUPER COOL if we could knock down the "most pages record" set by the Spidey-villians month too.

*******************************************

HAVE FUN!

If you're new to the thread here's how it works.  We're here to have fun and to sharpen our drawing skills.  All amateurs & professionals are welcome to participate.  If you want to submit a piece of artwork, here are the rules...Number #1) only post characters for the current month's assignment (a little spillover is OK from the previous month)...Number #2) You must be the artist (we're not looking for your original art collection, that's another thread)...& Number #3) (and most importantly) Have fun drawing.

So... Here it is.

My long awaited return to the editor's chair for the Sketchbook Challenge.  Don't worry, we'll get someone more entertaining for June (in fact he's already lined up).

I'll make this short and sweet, cause I got a feelin' that this one is gonna' be a popular one.  What better way to celebrate the month of May and summer movie season than by selecting...

The Avengers

Yes that's right Slurmo, you knew it all along.  I'm that predictable.

Draw some Avengers people!

Oh... and btw, you're not allowed to post your Captain America that you posted in December 2010.  I'm watching you...

Seeing as how I just got done working on the promotional art for Avenger the movie for upper deck and marvel
I will start the sketchbook challenge with those. I will also do AT LEAST one avengers sketch a day to join in.

Sorry if this is kinda cheating.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... c'mon!  April's not over yet!!!!!  I know I'm running late on the contributions here, but sheesh!!
(really, I am just kidding)

So anyway, I've been remiss here (as usual) and just wanted to get something in quickly for Dan's time at the editorship.  I literally threw this together in the last 2 hours...

OK, now you can get on with your fershlugginer Avengers month... Christ, you'd think a movie was coming out or something like that...

Who hasn't been an Avenger?

I was looking at Avengers #211.
From that issue was it only Dazzler, Iceman, & Angel that weren't?

When I was working on the avengers set they (marvel and UD ) gave us in the contract that
we could draw any character who had been an avenger or appeared in the avengers. I thought
the same thing. Between the modern extension of avengers and crossovers I think that is every
marvel character.
