I'm currently into "How Did This Get Made?", which comes out on the Earwolf feed.  The most recent episode - guest Patton Oswalt discussing the "Punisher War Zone" movie might be the least hilarious / most interesting ep yet.

yeah being a huge Paul Scheer fan, This podcast is an automatic listen every time they put out a new ep... like once every other week or so?

Not comics related at all but: This American Life.
Really amazing what they can accomplish with those podcasts. Usually 3 or more real life stories centered around a common theme but ALWAYS thought provoking and often quite emotional.

For comedy, The Nerdist is a great podcast (they had an awesome episode with Robert Kirkman a couple months ago (they all clearly actually read his comics too, even though thats the only time they've had a comics creator on the show--that i know of)

And 11 O'Clock Comics for deeper comics discussion and Ifanboy POTW podcasts for more general comics discussion cover my comic podcasts needs.

That was the first Nerdist podcast I ever listened too, and it set a high bar for that show.  I think there was a running gag about Yeti masturbation?  I think Wood tweeted about the podcast, and I listened.

I want to get into some good history podcasts.  But I might just start dipping my toe into audiobooks.  Maybe start with the new Chernow George Washington.

Here's a question for you guys.....

I need a 3X or so per week comic podcast to fill the gap that Comic Geek Speak is leaving (Appreciate the efforts of those guys, but I think it's gone way downhill since Rios left).  Is there anything else out there that is touching more on the comic jabber of the day?

Just curious...

Not comic related, but "Stuff You Missed in History Class" is highly entertaining. If you're a history buff, or just interested in random knowledge, check it out.

The Memory Palace is a great nugget sized podcast that talks about interesting bits of history.

If I ever did a podcast, it would probably be about history.

Sidebar for art.
G4TV's Feedback for videogames.
SModcast for humor.

So I just started listening to "Stop Podcasting Yourself", all I can say about it is that half the time I'm trying my hardest to not bust out laughing and give away that I'm not doing work.

They had me from the first episode. So funny.

Hardcore History and The History of Rome are amazing podcasts.  You could also try In Our Times.  It's a BBC cast and it deals with just about anything; philosophy, science, religion, math and history.  You might want to cherry pick, but it's always engaging and well done.  I love history, it's my major, but there just doesn't seem to be that many good history oriented podcasts out there.

Apparently, I'm not the only person to feel this way. While I think the other guys are great, Peter Rios made that show for me. I haven't listened to an episode since the announcement of his leaving was made. I still have a few of the episodes he was on stockpiled but I just can't bring myself to listen to them. Once theyre done...he's gone.

For Comics:

11 O'Clock Comics
iFanboy
War Rocket Ajax
Awesomed by Comics
Word Balloon
Aw Yeah

and occasionally 3 Chicks Review Comics, though they always seem angry and/or sad

For Art:
SiDEBAR -- though they seem to have gone downhill a bit lately... adding the third host didn't help, and there hasn't been anything like some of the fantastic artist interviews of the past.  Their Adam Hughes interview was epic.

General Interest:
The Writer's Almanac
The History of Rome
Legal Lad
Onion Radio News

I'm in the same boat.  I still listen here and there, but it is not the same.  Personally, I would love Pants and Murd to split off and re-group with Peter but I doubt that would ever happen.  I really enjoyed the time spent with Murd at the hotel bar/lounge (with Andy Tom, Andy Jewett, Chris Marshall, et al.) at C2E2.  he didn't have a lot to say, but he was one of the nicest guys you will ever meet (as well as the crew above).

I loved the few Murd's Time Bubble episodes that I listened to.

Alec Baldwin has a podcast now. It's called "Here's the Thing" First ep is with Michael Douglas.

I have a feeling this will be one I'll add to my rotation.

The only podcast I listen to religiously, without fail every time, i never miss even one second of it is Comedy Bang Bang (formerly comedy death ray).

I've become increasingly fond of Professor blastoff as well but I don't listen to every single episode.

And by the way, what was behind the decision for Peter to opt out? I didn't listen to those guys regularly so I'm not up on the goings on.
