This movie was going to star Nic Cage as Superman, Chris Rock as Jimmy Olsen, and according to Kevin Smith was supposed to have Brainiac fighting polar bears in the Fortress of Solitude.

is it supposed to be electric blue superman, or just an insanely terrible idea?

My answer is both.

Whenever I read the words Electric Blue, all I can think of is this. At least now, I won't be alone.

My answer is both.

originally john peters (the intended producer) wanted superman to have guards at the fortress of solitude.  but settled for brainiac "rasslin" polar bears.

See this is why someone like Burton is almost to creative for a job like Superman. He won't stick to what Superman is, he would have to feel like he had invented Superman to satisfy his ego.

If this had actually been made, Daredevil and Elektra would look like Citizen Cane and Gandhi by comparison.  Embarrassed

Wow, Icehouse! I haven't listened to them in a long time.  I may have to break out Primitive Man now.
