Broke down and bought a 25th Cobra Rattler from the comic shop I went to for FCBD. It's very cool and fulfills a childhood desire I've carried for years. It looks incredibly cool next to my 25th Fang and Renegades Black Dragon. After buying the Fang as a kid, my parents noticed how much ass Cobra was kicking, found it disturbing and wouldn't let me get any more Cobra stuff. It's their own fault for giving me Storm Shadow.

Anyway, I also have the Amazon-exclusive Renegades 4 pack on the way. I cannot wait for those to arrive.

I have boxes and boxes full of 3.75 inch Joes and Sigma 6 dudes.

Heres a pic of a VAMP I customized a few years ago.

Heres a Custom Sigma 6 of my fave GI Joe Flint. I made him out of a Long Range.

Heart-breaking concept toys that will likely never see the light of day:

Some very cool figures Hasbro is releasing in 2013:

I looked at the page for that con, but didn't see pics.  Where can I see the exclusives?

Luckily (or not) a lot of exclusives have been coming in the form of the new mold, so the last new JOE I had to worry about was like Big Lob (which was awesome and is a  quick seller on ebay).

Over the last couple of months I've just been getting my hoard on, grabbing  a couple of  the mail-away versions of the COBRA Wolf MISB, a Falcon (I collect Falcon) from the Red Shadows set, as well as trying to get all the Serpentor variants in different states (bagged, boxed, mail-in etc).

Currently hunting for the the yellow/red Funskool Beachhead.

Fair or not, I view Kreo as LEGO bo-bos, and I can't endorse bo-bos.

I do to in a way, but in this case it's just Hasbro doesn't want to to license shit out. At some point someone had to make (and have made) something similar, that would be better, the same or worse. I can tell you right now that the actual Kre-O figures are miles ahead, though maybe that's because they are recognizable to me (G.I. Joe, TF), though I'd suppose Lego would react to this.

When I saw the Stalker, SHipwreck, and Firefly in the various sets, I had to have them!

Scooped this yesterday

It's not super tough at all , but The Takara (this is from the '80s) Japanese line for JOES is interesting in this regard because until MUCH later, there was not another ARAH Zartan available on a card (OG Zartan came with skiff). Takaras also don't suffer from being cheaply made (plastic quality and paint) like some of the other international JOE lines, like a Funskool and those in SA.

I want all the Cobra stuff from that set but none of the Joe stuff. It's tough to spend $40 but I might have to. The Fang is my personal favorite vehicle largely because my parents refused to buy it for me and I allowanced it up and got it.

I broke down and bought most of the Kreo sets. I had a 15% off coupon so I saved $6 on the Tactical Battle Platform. I also got Checkpoint Alpha, Ninja Temple and Cobra Armored Assault. I'm seriously thinking about selling off the Joe stuff.

It's going to hurt in fall when I buy an $80 set for a Baroness minifigure and HISS tank.

Y'all read the G.I. Joe #1 issue from Van Lente?

It was a different approach, which I didn't think possible, and I dug it. Basically takes the cartoon/toy nature of Joe and owns it, setting it up that Joe got triple the funding but in exchange it has to become a public entity to fight Cobra, and they're doing a Youngblood kind of vibe where Joes are being selected not only for their abilities, but for their looks and how they will appeal to target demographics, too.  There's a scene where Shipwreck is putting on his sailor uniform and complaining about how ridiculous he looks, and Duke explains that it's mandatory, as is the nickname "Shipwreck", even though he's never been known by that designation before (in fact he has always been known as "Badass"  Roll On Floor Laughing ).
