Question… what free agent do you want to see your team sign or pass on? As a Phins fan I do not want Manning in the Mia. I don’t think that he fits the west coast style offence that Philbin will be installing. I rank this as more of an important reason for not signing Manning over the injury speculation.
From what I understand, it sounds as if the Dolphins have a lot of interest in Matt Flynn. This makes sense in that Miami recently hired Green Bay's offensive coordinator. Any opinions on this potential hire?

Smart move on Miami's part. I would guess it will all come down to asking price and what Miami is willing to give up. The Tiki

I see Miami as a "re-launch" not a rebuild situation, so to me the idea of Flynn makes the most sense. They can build long term around him as they are not going to make a Super Bowl run next season. A lot of what I read in the media is the Steven Ross, the owner, wants Manning to fill the seats. To me that is not a reason to sign Manning. Not if he isn't going to be around more than 2 seasons three at the most. I between Philbin installing a west coast off, and Mike Sherman hired as off coordinator I don't think Manning is the guy they want. He just isn't a west coast off kind offense guy.

they hired philbin because they intended to sign flynn. any other move at qb by the dolphins would be off plan. id much rather a team fail but have a clear direction then what the dolphins and redskins have been doing for 10 years which leaves you always rebuilding instead of reloading.

If Danny from down the block jumped off a bridge... The Tiki Thing just seem to be getting worse for Greg Williams by the day. The Buffalo New did a front page article on when Williams coached the Bills. The article reports that several players, anonymously, reported that the Bills had a bounty system under the Williams era. I also just saw on ESPN that the NFL is looking into his time at Washington. I would think that Williams will have some sort of fine or suspension in this future depending on how much turns up.

Guess I'm the lone Colts fan on the boards. Today was a very sad day. I will miss watching Peyton in Colts blue. Gonna be hard to see him in another uniform, but I'll still root for him no matter where he ends up. Hope Andrew Luck can be half the QB Peyton has been. Got a feeling it's gonna be another long season next year.

No doubt homie, I know how you feel, seeing Montana in a Chiefs jersey was a hard pill to swallow.

Manning has no one left to throw to now and the Phins don't have enough cap space to go mega shopping at this time. Now it looks like part of the reason for the trade is Marshall is being investigated for hitting a woman. The guy is a great player, but a basket case. Miami got the short end of the stick with this guy. Gave up 2 2nd round picks for 2 years of dropped TDs and 2 3rd round picks. Not to mention the "dead cap space" that Marshall is still costing the team.

I'm stunned in the last day the bucs have spent $140 million in free agency on Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks and Eric Wright. I know they said they were going to spend but i didnt expect this. Would like to see a linebacker as well but i have no idea how much cap space is left after those signings.

CRAZY money flowing to the WRs this year, wow.
Megatron just signed a new extension that averaged more than 18mm per year! Pierre "Never had a 1,000 yard season in spite of Peyton Manning" Garcon got paid like an All Pro in Washington Robert "I make Garcon look like a stud" Meachem got paid big bucks in San Diego Vincent Jackson -- who is quite good -- got $55mm from Tampa Colston got $40mm to stay in New Orleans
Wow. This is making the Eagles decision to tag DJax look even more rational.

Yeah that Garcon thing confuses me a bit. Not the first WR I would have gone after. I think the skins did a good thing to move up and take RG3, but damn, surely there were better options then Garcon for that money. Even if they just payed less I would be more understanding.

only 3 teams had a 2nd wr with over 1000 yards last year.* he didn't get 1000 yards with manning because peyton almost got him paralyzed, twice. but the redskins have ZERO talent on offense. so they need any playmaker even a B. * pats had gronk over 1000yd but he's a TEall this money is going to make the franchise tag the pats are going to use again on welker huge.
