Redskins give up a ton to secure RGIII and then use a high 4th rounder on another QB 

Andrew Luck = Tim Couch
RG3             = Donovan Mcnabb
Kirk Cousins  = Koy Detmer


I say this to reference the couch mcnabb draft. I honestly think that Lucks career will more mirror that of david carr. I think by the time the colts get that team fully stocked Luck will have been sacked 8000 times and will be so gun shy he'll chuck the ball up anywhere just not to get hit again.

As long as I live I will never understand why the colts seeing what cam newton did last year surrounded by a bum team and that vick almost single handedly carried the falcons not to mention tebow taking denvers dead body to the playoffs, didn't go with RG3. RG3 needs less weapons to win. He is the running back and can work without a line. 

Luck needs a line, wide recievers, and a runningback.

It's no surprise Moore wasn't drafted. Noodle arm in a non-pro system.  Good college player, terrible pro prospect.

I don't seem to talk about it much here but I am a lifelong cheesehead. I'm really happy with grabbing Nick Perry - worked out real well the last time we nabbed a USC linebacker - but I have no idea why the Pack didn't get a running back. Polk went undrafted, and is now signed with the Eagles. Amazed at them allowing that kind of talent to pass them by, even in the 7th round.

I miss the all weekend draft. It was so fun waking up saturday morning throwing on my lions jersey, having some cold  beverages with my brother and spending all day debating each pick. Its less fun in primetime.

Luck is not David Carr and the Colts are much better than the Tecans were when Carr was drafted. Also if you saw the Combine you would have seen that Luck and Cam Newtons measurables (including vertical jump, broad jump, and 40 time) were nearly identical. Luck is a much better athlete than most people give him credit for and he can run when needed.
All the experts agree Luck is the best QB prospect since Elway. Sure it's gna be a few years before the team is in the playoffs but I think Luck is just the man for the job. I was glad they stuck with the guy who would've been the No 1 pick last year and not the one year wonder Griffin. Although I still think Griffin will be a good pro.

Im usually very disappointed by the actions of the teams I support but I have to applaud what the Bucs did yesterday in regards to Eric LeGrand, you can question if Schiano is the right head coach for the buccaneers but I couldnt be more impressed with the man himself.

Unbelievably sad. It's so hard for me to conceptualize suicide under any circumstances, and then you think of all that this particular man had to be proud/happy/driven by. Successful career, financial wealth, a beautiful wife and kids. Man oh man.

nfl players bitching about suspensions while tmz is reporting seau's death 2 hours before espn would touch the story was disgusting.

when i heard of seau shooting himself in the heart i immediately suspected he did so to preserve his brain for study as part of boston university CTE studies. this has been a major topic in boston for a couple of years now. more and more athletes are donating their brains to BU. 

Im inching closer and closer to not follow or supporting football ever time i hear of 40 year old having to kill themselves to avoid the feeling that their brain is tearing apart.

I wonder if this (2013) is the year that we see Cower and Gruden leave the booth and comeback to coaching.

The Browns look like a up and coming team that has most of the right parts in place.

Gruden won't leave the booth. His son Jay Gruden is a top candidate for one of these jobs and he wont jump in to block a job for his son.

Cowher has been gone to long and specifically the style of football he won with and schemed is no longer viable in a league where defenders cant hit and everyone airs it out.
