Sportello-Rawlins Investigations, Inc. Private security and investigation company, based in the legend-haunted city of Portland, OR.
Larry "Doc" Sportello - Founder of SRI. Contrary to everyone's expectations, including his own, "Doc" Sportello's acid-ridden brain is still functional enough to provide startlingly precise insights. At least on his good days. Ezekiel "Easy" Rawlins - Co-founder and head of daily operations, Rawlins is an aging but exceptionally sharp detective with years of experience. Lucas Corso - A former book dealer and expert in locating rare artifacts for select clients, Corso ran into problems in Europe that has forced him to turn his talents to more traditional investigative issues in the States. Joe Pitt - The muscle of the group, Pitt preferably operates after sunset and has allegedly sworn never to set foot in New York City again. Dex Parios - One of the youngest employees of the company, Dex is the only native Portlander and has her ear close to the ground in the City of Roses. Perpetually suffering form the after-effects of brawls and beat-downs. Inspector Tyador Borlú - Formerly a member of the Extreme Crime Squad in the European city-state of Beszel, Borlú now operates as an independent agent and expat in North America. John Constantine - British freelancer who consults for SRI on an ad-hoc basis, expertise in what Rawlins terms "hokum pokum cases."

Here's the one that I'd want to write and draw...
The Shadow Doc Savage Indiana Jones The Rocketeer Athena Voltaire
Foes can include: Fu Manchu Rasputin Valkyrie (from Airboy) the Dragon Lady (from Terry and the Pirates) John Sunlight (Doc Savage's nemesis) Imhotep (from the Mummy movies) Shiwan Khan (from the Shadow) The Voodoo Master (the Shadow) The Prince of Evil (seriously, the Shadow had the best enemies)

I would so buy that. Ralph McQuarrie's conceptual art for Raiders made him look so much like Doc Savage. Harry Lime should be one of the other characters.

I'd buy a series about coffee-shop regulars, starring Snapper Carr, Howard the Duck, Harvey Pekar, and Hopey.

I don't how I managed it, but I've preordered the first three issues. Get to work!

Fueled by bitterness from the very industry they once loved...
Frank Miller! John Byrne! Alan Moore! Guided by the disembodied spirit of Wally Wood, they are
THE LEAGUE OF DISGRUNTLED COMIC CREATORS!
