I imagine the same place you can get chocolate kerfuffles*.

*I think that's the name of the dessert food snack that was made up on the Aw Yeah podcast.

I haven't really read his early work but Wieringo wasn't looking real Wieringo back then? Or Skroce adapted what Weiringo would do? Or maybe he had a time machine to see what Wieringo...maybe I just like saying Wieringo.

Cheating and posting two panels on this one just cause I love when artists use Spidey's eyes expressively even tho it wouldn't really work like that... :wub:comics

A seatbelt strap made of webbing would have been a nice touch in this otherwise jam-packed action panel....buckle up, Spidey!

I just meant to say that Weiringo wasn't yet established with his eventually recognizable style in comics at this time....Skroce just serendipitously stumbled upon the same look years prior!

I thought he went Hollywood or something.

He's been doing amazing concept art and story-board work for The Wachowskis since The Matrix and did Doc Frankenstein with them, which I haven't read.

I used to loathe his art-style back in the day... The mere mention of his name used to give me shivers. Looking back at these issues, I can't imagine why. Just goes to show that teenagers don't always have good taste.

That's cool. It's weird to think of seeing a Weiringo drawn comic without his recognizable style.

Amazing Spider-Man Panel A Day, 1997 Tom DeFalco, Steve Skroce, Bud LaRosa, day 428 Issue 428

This panel looks really humorous to me. Almost parody. I think it's the idea of Spidey driving a regular car and running over his villains. Something that doesn't happen every day.

I kinda like when artists choose to not show Spidey's costume webbing when the shot is from a certain distance back....Bennet pushes that envelope here (it's not that small a figure), but it still works well!

Yeah, seems weird that you see his musculature & collarbone, but not the webbing.
