I'd like to have more 3/75 DC figures and I believe Mattel is trying to relaunch the line by tying in with the Movie figures.
I've got a bad feeling about this.......

At this point they just piss me off. DC Universe figures with the head start they had on Marvel could have easily been the top figures on the market right now. If they had Joe style construction they probably would be. I admit I tend to lean towards marvel a lot of the time, but I love some of DC and them not getting the figures they deserve pisses me off. Although some of the Marvel figs hip joints piss me off with he legs falling off immediately. This stuff never happens with Joes. Companies should have higher product standards.

I would guess one of the reasons Joes are so well done is: 1 - It is the company brand and 2 - They aren't paying royalties on them - which keeps costs down (although reports are coming in that prices are going back up).

1. Absolutely true. However Marvel as a company should demand the same quality as Hasbro is still making the lions share of profit on MU figures. Also as Marvel is now owned by Disney who tends to use Mattel as their toy manufacturer it would behoove Hasbro to up the quality, so Mattel does not under-bid them on the next go around. We would then be stuck with craptastic MU figures. 2. I am still willing to bet they are not anywhere near losing money on these fellas. Plus I am still waiting for (and will obviously be waiting a long time) for a nice Marvel/GI Joe crossover or at the very least like a DC style elseworlds where Joe and SHIELD are linked and such. I like the idea of SnakeEyes training with/ Cap and Black Widow. Or something along those lines. Batman would be a great Joe crossover as well. Or Zartan Sniping superman with a Kryptonite bullet. (This was mostly made in jest I know it would not work.)

Looks like they will once again put out fine 6" characters, and then skimp on the 4" (3.75,1/18 whatever)

They look like pretty standard movie tie-in figures. Not interested.

I would agree but the latest Movie tie in Spiderman fig was excellent (even if it was a douchey thing to run as a comicon exclusive). Also the Thor movie line has some great sculpts, and the cap movie tie in figs look awesome. Marvel is setting the standard now.

Picked up a Hal Jordan 3.75 Battle Shifter figure. So-so sculpt and (other than swivel shoulders) gas the possability of a 1978 Star Wars figure.
Still in pack cause it's going back.

My friend bought me Kilowog, and I bought myself Sinestro today. I might be picking up the rest of the Corps, minus Hal Jordan.

1978 SW articulation with slightly better sculpting. Mattel does not give a darn about 3.75" scale.
