Why? I read Legion when it first launched and picked up a few issues of Adventure and while I don't think either series is terrible, neither is a top book. What made you decide to add these series and why aren't you reading S.H.I.E.L.D., Flash, Batgirl, Detective Comics, Batman Inc., Amazing Spiderman, or any number of other great books from the big two.

a few reasons 1. I am a legion fan from the past. 2. I wanted to jump onto a dc title with the price drop, but didn't want to pick up titles that are likely to be tied into massive crossovers. I realize there is a chance with these titles, but from the solicitations it seems relatively safe for now. i'm sick of crossovers which is why i've been avoiding the big two. 3. the raging bullets podcast mentioned the series have been good recently, so since i'm a fan i figured i would give them a shot. 4. i recently purchased some original art from the Adventure comics series, and wanted to read more of what was going on.
if i don't enjoy them, i'll drop and move on to something else. not the end of the world.

Makes sense. The legion books are pretty self contained. There are a ton of Bat titles, the Flash and GL books will both be involved in events soon, and there are few other quasi-universes in the DC universe. If you're an old school legion fan, I'd say these are definitely up your alley. I really enjoyed Johns work on the Legion in Action and Legion of Three Worlds and enjoyed Waid's short lived series so I jumped on the Legion when Levitz took over. Personally, Levitz's writing is a little too old school for my taste and it didn't strike a chord with me but it definitely has the same feel and tone of some of Levitz's previous Legion stuff. I hope you enjoy both series because its fun when a fellow comic fan finds a series that hits their sweet spot.

Dropped Rescue Rangers- Just not as fun as Darkwing Duck Legion of Super Heroes and Adventure Comics- These two started off well the Legion , but just has nothing to hook me in to buy both every month Green Arrow-I really wanted this book to take off at relaunch as I like the character but its a huge thud. Superman- 707 was my breaking point
Adding New York Five Venom Butch Baker Carbon Grey

Drop, like a hot coal - Neonomicon. Sorry, that shit is gross, and really quite silly (those FBI agents' behavior is just a bit too...improbable). Not my bag.

Same here. It kills me a bit to drop this as I've been consistently reading this for 15+ years.

Dropping: All GI Joe books Lately, when I see that a GI Joe book is the next issue to read on top of my Regina pile I don't feel any excitement that makes me want to read it right away. To me that's the sign that it's time to part ways with a book. I was pre-ordering all of the GI Joe books, they are all getting the chop, I also feel that I wasn't getting enough story for the price tag.
Adding: I'm going show DC some more support and try out some $2.99 books I haven't been reading. Batgirl and Secret Six for sure.

Additions/tryouts for March: Annihilators - Can't wait! Batgirl - Heard good things Butcher Baker Righteous Maker - Looks cool Caligula - Looks freaky Godzilla Monster World - Powell + Hester = I'm there Heap - Classic character resurrected by Charles Knauf Hellraiser - Hoping this is fly Indie Comics Magazine - I indie comics Minx - Looks like a pretty neat concept Ruse - Fond recollections of Ruse Sigil - Eh... why not? Thinking about dropping: Dodgem Logic - Not only are they pricey, they're pumping these out at a rate I'm just not interested in keeping up with (2 issues in the latest Previews, for the second time since the mag started). There are some legitimately interesting things in there, but just as much leaves me cold. If this were quarterly I think I'd stick with, but to be honest I'm still not all the way through #2 and they're soliciting #7 and 8. Anyone want to talk me out of this?

What's this? MINX #1 *Special Discount* (W) Andrea Grant (A) Rey Arzeno Special Double-Sized Debut Issue! They say, 'If you die in your dreams, you die in real life.' For half-Native American Minx, this is not superstition; it is reality. Her life is changed forever after suffering a vicious attack and slipping into a coma. She finds herself in Dreamtime, the alternate reality that humans inhabit when they sleep. She evolves into a sophisticated warrior, charged with protecting people from a complex agenda that seeks to transform nightmares into realities and realities into nightmares. But Minx's role as vigilante is not born from random coincidence: it is the result of elaborate conspiracy, ancient prophecy, and devastating betrayal. Love that kinda stuff. It's in the DCBS specials... can't remember which publisher. No. Stop. Don't do it. I see it's hitting you kinda the same way it's hitting me.... I hate to drop a diverse indie mag, especially one with new content from Alan Moore, Melinda Gebbie, and Kevin O'Neill every month... but there's just not enough of the good stuff balancing out local village politics, how to make your own trash garden, and extensive coverage of the Northampton hiphop scene.
