Got a few credits burning a hole in my pocket and looking to buy some back issues of things i have never read.  Looking at dollar per issue range to make the most of my money.  I pretty much only read dark horse and marvel up until the mid 90s when I dropped out so I know I missed quite a few gems.  Have some interest in Valiant and Crossgen. What are some other suggestions or specific runs to look for?

P.S. Got my sights on a full run of micronaughts to relive my childhood too  Cheesy

I am kind of in the same place as you, have over $150 in credit.

Going to buy the rest of The Walking Dead, and work on my Morrison Batman trade collection.

Oooh.  Shopping.

I'm picking up chunks of Jonah Hex, Legion Lost, 80's Blue Beetle, Marvel Two-in-One, Luke Cage Hero for Hire, Mirage TMNT issues.

Have fun!

Buy the entire Strikeforce: Morituri series. +/- 35 issues for about a buck a piece.

Several years ago I got on a Dreadstar kick and bought the entirety of the original Jim Starlin Dreadstar run.  Had a great time finding them all, but it was worth it.

I did the same with Fury of Firestorm too.  Those were some very pretty books that went for pennies on the dollar.

Lastly, I've always wanted to do this with Alien Legion, but I'm leaning toward the Omnibus nowadays.

I was look at dreadstar after hearing about it on the CCL podcast.  Looks like I can get most of the run so I may pull the trigger on that.  Got my eye on Archer and Armstrong too.

coincidently, I placed my first ever order. I got 3 issues of the original New Mutants that I was missing (I could have sworn I had them but they disappeared), a couple of odd singles to fill gaps, and just out of sheer curiosity; I pulled the trigger and order the entire 1980's sci-fi HEX series! Brave, I know, but I just have to experience those issues firsthand

oh, and The Questyen, that's a hell of an order, I'm jealous.

Just got my order in.  This should keep me busy for a while!

Full run of Micronaughts
Full run of Rising Stars
Marvel Run of Dreadstar (missing the last issue)
Full run of Archer and Armstrong
TPB of Infinity War
Hardcover of Infinity Gauntlet
Hardcover of Annihilation Classic

And yes, I have never read the Infinity books.  Corrected that last night as I blew through Infinity Gauntlet.  Iron Man getting decapitated was pretty unexpected  Tongue

FYI - I picked up the first 15 issues a while back on sale at my LCS.

I forgot they made them go to Florida and hang out with kids and the Man-Thing, simply to establish them in the Marvel U. You might want to skip those issues - doesn't add a whole lot to the story. They don't get back to the Microverse until issue 9 or so...then it gets great again.

Karma for you because I'm a huge Dreadstar fan.  At C2E2 2010, I told Angel Medina and Peter David both how much I loved that book and they both responded with "Nobody ever talks to me about that book!  I had a really good time doing it!"

Switching gears completely, Quantum and Woody was a great series that you should be able to pick up pretty cheap.  Don't forget the GOAT one-shot and issue #32 (they published issues #1-21 and #32, for reasons that are too long to get into in this post).

Quantum and Woody was written by Priest (fka Christopher Priest, formerly known as Jim Owsley), and his Black Panther run is also fabulous.
