I never liked Marc Maron back in the day...found him very angry and loud. After hearing him on The Nerdist podcast with Chris Hardwick ( another GREAT show where comics talk to comics ) I heard a very different man. I decided to give his show a try and I'm finding I enjoy it a great deal. I've only just started but I think I've now added it to my "must" list.

The Bob Zmuda episode is a revelation.
I could of listened to several more hours of Kaufman and Wexler stories.

If/when you listen to the Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia episodes, you must ALSO listen to the follow up episode as well. Great stuff. Th Tiki

I saw that she was the guest this morning... I'm not a fan. This might be the second one I end up skipping.
Edit: That wasn't bad at all, I actually like her a little more than I did before.

Just finished the Bob Zmuda episode. One word: awesome. Even if you don't like Marc Maron or his schtick you should give this episode a try, especially if you have any interest in Andy Kaufman. For the most part it is Zmuda telling stories with Maron asking the occasional question or two.

Craig Ferguson on WTF, bout to start listening now. Based on other interviews/conversations i've heard with ferguson outside of his late night show, this should be an interesting descent down his past... tinged with good scottish humor.

I had skipped that one because I had never heard about him in my life, and then went back and the episode really blew my mind. Talk about him being the mildly crazy guy in an insane asylum. Probably the best episode yet, just in terms of infinity gauntlet style reality warping.

I liked the Zmuda episode but am losing some enthusiasm for the show. I have started skipping the musician guest episodes, and parts of the monologue at times. I also quit on the Chelsea Handler episode about halfway. Normally I am pretty compulsive on podcasts but overcoming my mental illness to teach myself that it is OK to skip episodes.

Compulsion is the economic lynchpin that keeps most hobbies fiscally viable as businesses. Bring on the variant covers.

I get burnt out on Podcasts all the time. I usually take a week or two off when that happens and then try to get back in. Skipping Episodes is hard for me too, but at the very least I try to give them least appealing guests 15 mins to grab me. I have been surprised more than once at this. What bugs me is when WTF, Nerdist ,and CONAN all have the same guys on within a 2 week span. Lots of repetitive stories and jokes.

Yeah, I let shows pile up all the time. Even 11 O'Clock comics I've skipped a week and then gone back to it a week later while doing laundry or whatnot. The biggest one is THE MOTH. I always let those pile up because I expect them to be self indulgent or depressing, and then even when they are they are still great, I mean they curate the fuck out of what they publish.
