I listen to him occasionally. Maron deals mostly in emotion porn which is not my taste. My favorite comedy podcast by far is the Pod F. Tompkast. I laughed HARD, every time!

I couldn't ever quite get into that, I wish he had show notes with timestamps so I could easily skip the odd sketch I didn't like

WTF is the best comedy podcast around, and probably one of the best podcasts period.
Love every episode pretty much but some of my favorites guests were Judd Apatow, Louis CK, Patton Oswalt, Kevin Smith, Dave Foley, Mike Destefano, Tom Lennon, David Wain, Dana Gould, Henry Rollins, and the Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia experiments were interesting and enlightening to say the least.

I'm holding back on the Carlos Mencia (& the next episode where he comes back) and Dane Cook. I have heard they are legendary and I kinda wanna save them as a dessert. I just heard the Robin Williams one this morning. Solid stuff! The Tiki

I listened to the Mencia episodes recently, and maybe it's because I'm not as involved or invested, but I didn't find them all that riveting. I mean they're fine episodes, but if you don't care about the drama surrounding the joke stealing (I don't), they're kind of boring listens. Of course, I'm in the minority here. I just like the eps with the great conversationalists.

Thanks for the heads up on WTF, I listened to a few episodes, and they definitely were worth it. I don't know that I much care for the host actually, he's kind of overbearing as far as his political views, but I do appreciate his interview style. I listened to him a few times way back when he was on Air America, though I didn't put that together until I listened to a couple of episodes of WTF. I really enjoyed the Rollins episode, but then again I'm a huge Rollins fan. The Gallagher episode was great too. I need to figure out how to get the Mencia/Dane Cook shows cause those sound right up my alley.

Just download the WTF app (it's free right now), then sign up for a 1 month subscription (it's only .99 cents). Gobble up all the episodes that stand out to you in that month. Easily worth the .99 cents. The Tiki

Ipod Touch, Iphone or Ipad (I used to know the trick on how to make an itunes URL... i forgot ). I just finished the Dane Cook episode. I honestly thought Marc Maron was a bit of a dick through the episode. I actually think Dane came off as very focused guy opening up. It was interesting. the Tiki

It was interesting. the Tiki You thought that because it was true. Maron was too busy trying to throw in a barb or two, and Cook obviously wasn't feeling it, but Maron kept pressing it. In that episode, I think Cook came off really well. I came away liking him a lot more than I had before listening. Can't say the same for Maron. I think he was holding back a bit, and wanted to say some stuff, might have been hesitant with Cook sitting right next to him, so he seemed like he was being passive aggressive to me.

If anything though it gave me some insight into why Dane is the way he is and that's one of the reasons i really dig the show.

I can dig it. Marc did actually say from the get go that he just went cold turkey from cigarettes so I gave it a pass. I also wondered if Dane was "working" Marc to do some PR and spin control. Cook obviously did some homework about the podcast and Marc before hand. I figured screw it... i started listening to the Mencia tapes right now. the Tiki

Robin Williams may catch some shit over alleged joke theft and some less then stellar movies, but I still love the guy. I think the ep with him walks the line nicely of trying to question him about these issues and still being respectful.

I concur. I also like Williams' attitude of he can't fight against something that happened so long ago. Age mellows all harsh tannins both in wine and life. the Tiki

Still catching up on old episodes. Just listened to 119 - Adam McKay from 11/1/10. He mentions the script for The Boys movie. I don't really bother following all the development deals nonsense but that did peak my interest. He also mentioned that he sold his comic collection to buy a car to move to Chicago to study improv. The episode itself didn't really stand out for me, but that did.
