My fiancé has never listened to El P and she was blown away and converted instantly when we saw him. You're in for a hell of a show.

The Blondie DEVO show has moved to a new venue (20 miles closer to me!).

Ticket locked in for Sept 23rd.    Can't wait.

I missed them when they played St Pete last year.   I should have gone.

Not going to anymore concerts this year but my wife and I are going to a couple of shows:

Seeing David Sedaris in Northampton MA in October
Seeing Louis CK in Connnecticut (forget exact location) in November

Looking forward to a fall full of laughs

Was so much better than I could have imagined it would be.

We saw Jane's twice this year; once in Kansas City, and once in Omaha.  Great shows, and those guys definitely still got it.  Caught up with some friends that I rarely run into except at shows like this!  Love the whole stage show, though I couldn't tell you what the narrative with the baby smashing guy was supposed to be getting at.  The dancing twins were AWESOME!

We missed the opener in KC, but Big Black Delta opened for them here.  Never listened to them before, but I liked their groove.  2 drummers, an Apple MacBook, and a singer.  They came on stage to join in for "Chip Away".

Really glad we made the second show.  My wife's favorite song by them is "Summertime Rolls", which they didn't play in KC, but did play in Omaha.

I also took my 15 year old son to KNOTFEST in Council Bluffs: Prong, Lamb of God, Serge T, Deftones, Machine Head, and Slipknot!  Outdoors, all-day.  Firebreathers, freakshow, dead cowheads on stakes in the ground, and Rock Horns Rock Horns METAL  Rock Horns Rock Horns into the evening.

Just got our tix to Marilyn Manson & Rob Zombie.  Debating on whether I'm gonna go see Dinosaur Jr when they come back (they were just here in the winter), or My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult.

Yeah, they closed our show with Summertime Rolls.  Don't remember seeing no baby-smashing, but no-face dude kind of took some of the fun out of "Splash a little water on it".  BBD was a fine opener & I did like that they joined for Chip Away, but it showed the difference between a band and some showmen.  The energy the brought, I coulda swore Janes was a bunch of kids in their twenties, coming out for their third show.

I saw Jane's on the Ritual tour in Chicago at the Aragon Brawlroom(1990?, 91?) Rollins Band opened. For some reason the venue had set up seating with hundreds of wooden folding chairs, not bolted down mind you. By the end of Rollins' set, the first 5-10 rows were smashed and thrown around everywhere. Ancient hardwood and metal was flying all over the place, if you didn't get hit, you were slipping on it under foot. The show was late in the year, maybe November and it was over 100 degrees inside. I was soaked in sweat. It was soooo packed inside I remember being up in front in the pit, and at times lifting both my feet and I wouldn't fall down. My friends & I were up in front for Rollins & went to queue for the loo & when we got back security wouldn't let us back front. We were all standing in the back arguing with security to let us back up front since we were there from the beginning (open seating). Then the lights went dark, Jane's came out and started the set with Up The Beach & Oceansize. Some dude behind us jumped up and laid out the security guy we were arguing with. One shot & he dropped like a sack of potatoes. We all ran for the front! There was a guard in the front that saw his coworker get knocked out and was charging towards us. We dove into one of the remaining aisles, security went right passed, and started going after people behind us. We finally got up to the front again and saw the rest of the show.

To this day that Jane's show remains the BEST concert I've ever seen (and I've seen hundreds)! I've never seen them again because nothing they could do would top that spectacle.

Must have been something about that tour.
When I saw them in Rochester, NY it was held in
the arena where the local AHL team plays.
While it isn't weird to see rock concerts in hockey arenas,
I've never seen fans rip up the flooring over the ice during the show
to make a 3 x 5 ft slip n' slide in the middle of the floor
like I saw at the Rochester show.

We drove down to Lincoln, NE to see My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult on Thursday.  They played late in a shitty bar downtown.  Only 28 people (I counted) were in the audience, which was kind of disappointing.  I was quite surprised that that band didn't attract a larger crowd.  The sound was really rough, with the only really good sounding tune to my ear was "After the Flesh".  Talked to Groovy Mann after the show, and thanked him for coming out to Nebraska regardless.
