Dave A suggested I start this as a thread, as an outgrowth of "What are you listening to?"

Comics represent one addiction of mine; seeing live shows is another.  I think it would be really interesting finding out what other board members' concert experiences are.  (Who knows, the next concert you might be hitting may also be one other people on the 11OC board are going to.)

I'll start this off with the shows I am seeing this upcoming month:

3/3 - Bridget Everett and the Tender Moments @ Joe's Pub, NYC
(FYI to Beasties' fans - Ad Rock is the bass player.)

3/6 - The Left Banke @ Joe's Pub, NYC

3/8 - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark @ Terminal 5, NYC

3/31 - Cut Copy @ The Trocadero, Philadelphia

I saw Helmet a few months ago here in Omaha.  They're still rocking pretty hard, and putting it all into their shows.  You're gonna enjoy it.

May 8th - Sleigh Bells/CSS @ The Troc, Philly
May 9th - James Blake @ Johnny Brendas, Philly
June 4th - The Roots Picnic @ Festival Pier, Philly

They are performing Meantime in it's entirety.  I saw them in about 98 or so opening for Marilyn Manson.  As I said in another thread, Helmet is still one of the loudest bands that I have ever seen.

Listen to the 'THE CHEMICAL BOX' podcasts

Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. - Grant Morrison

Karma- I saw them 2/18 in Manchester, UK and they were amazing (even if the gig made me feel really fricking old).

Brother, you're not the only one!

I must've been feeling masochistic earlier because I was looking at tickets on eBay. That shit is ridiculous.

They were actually the first band I ever saw live way back in 1990!

I haven't gone to a concert in forever. I'd love to but unfortunately none of the people I'm interested in seeing are playing in phoenix.

Joanna Newsom on Wednesday.

Seen her once, but this was back when she only had the harp. Strange gig quiet as a grave during the songs and roaring applause between them.
