I'm really loving Durarara by the way. Any of you guys seen that? Its only 24 episodes but me and the missus seem to be watching it at a rate of once every month. We started last year and we're only up to episode 15.

The anime came out before the manga?  I recently bought the manga and really enjoyed it.  Not what I expected at all.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Akira. Whistle Talk about the granddaddy of classics.

Also I liked Scryd, Full Metal Alchemist, Elfien Lied, Beserk and Urotsukidoji.  (my bad, the last one is hentai, I think Whistle)

Not sure if anime came before manga but these were a series of light novels first. I love it to bits, reminds me so much of my time in Japan (not that any of the weird stuff happened while I was there). I've been meaning to pick up the manga since I want more of it.

I finished vol. 1 a couple days ago and I really enjoyed (of course a modern day take on the headless horseman is an easy sale for me), but I believe vol. 2 comes out this month.   Thumbs Up

I guess this fits best here. Hearing all that talk of TWD#100 is really put into perspective when news like this comes out.

Redline gets so much love, but I just could not get past the animation style. It rubbed me the absolute wrong way. Was a bummer, as I've really enjoyed the other movies that have come out of that studio (namely Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars).

Akira is a must see imo! Same with Ninja Scroll..although it could do without the rape. I was really into Naruto but around episode 150 they were mostly fillers until the end. It has been a long time but I recall enjoying Vampire Hunter D.

Has anyone read Flowers of Evil?  I've passed by it a few times at the shop, but I've balked each time.

I thought the animation style was the only thing it had going for it. I was enjoying it for the first fifteen minutes but after the novelty of the animation wore off it was just like an other boring action movie.

New eps are fun (Naruto Shippuuden). I don't bother with the fillers.
