Overall was a average start.  I was expecting maybe too much with the first issue.  Thought the artwork was great and Godzilla was incredible but I wish there was more story.  The issue was very quick and didn't have any other characters included that might play a role in it.  I did enjoy the running joke.  I will give it another issue for it to hook me.

Agree I just wish that it left me a little fulfilled for my 4 bucks.  Though, I dream of owning the original art to that double page spread (yowza!!).  Note: I said "dream".  I will be waiting on the hardcover for the remainder though.  There just wasn't enough content there for me to buy it on a monthly basis.

$4 for an issue that took 2 minutes to read. That's weak sauce. I won't be back for issue two.

I heard a lot more bad than good things about the first issue of this, but did anyone stay on?  How was it?  I haven't tried out any of the Godzilla books so I'm having trouble distinguishing them in my head, was Kingdom of Monsters the one Vince talked about enjoying on the show?

A hardcover of all 12 issues is solicited this month.  Thinking about buying it since I want to read some Godzilla and the hardcover sounds nice.

It was total shite. I recommend the Godzilla Legends five-issue series. These were five one-shots of top quality which took place following Kingdom of Monsters. No previous reading required. The only point of reading Godzilla KOM is to see what came before the current series, which is off to a much better start. But, again, no previous reading required for the new series either.

I guess this series really did suck.  Looks like nobody wanted the hardcover other than me, just got a e-mail from DCBS saying IDW cancelled it, no mention of a re-solicit.
