Two words HOLY CRAP I can't wait for the fill in issues I like the point of view and the background but that take on Swamp Thing isn't doing it for me at all. He's too lumpy! It's a nicely staged piece though and I like the colors. Jim

My hope for our "new" Superman... ...make him less invulnerable. He needs another weakness besides Kryptonite & magic, or at least skew how these weaknesses are defined. This is the distinct advantage so many other comic characters have over Supes when it comes to relating to him as the protagonist. The Tiki i find this funny becuase i have heard a lot of people say the exact opposite from a lot of people, "because" one) he is really durable not invulnerable just takes someone as strong as him. two) it's not just magic and krypnoite. they brought back Red Sun for years now. really i think his villains and supporting cast is far more important. when they're strong superman always seems fun to read.

"If you work really hard, and are kind, amazing things will happen" Conan O'Brian, 2010
Comic Vine: Where does Thunderbolt Ross' mustache go when he turns into Red Hulk? Will your Hulk ever have a mustache?
Mark Waid: Thunderbolt’s mustache goes into the Negative Zone, where it enjoys its own separate adventures that will hopefully someday be told. Our Hulk needs no mustache. Muttonchops, perhaps.

I think Byrne reboot weakened him too much. I think All Star Superman proved that the time now is more Silver-Age type powerset with a futuristic sensibility. Weakness take me out of a story alot I think it's because I've consumed too many games and shonen manga. I've had too many Goku can beat Superman debates cause they made Supes too soft. I want him hard in the paint.

I went through the final tally of my DC titles.
(2012) Batman Inc.
Green Lantern (Trades - Been getting the trades but I haven't read Blackest Night yet so I'll see if I lose interest at some point) Green Lantern Corps (Trades - I've been starting to pick up more trades on this title but same as above) Batwoman (Trades)
-Batgirl (Goodbye accessible, good intro to the DCU book. Then title went from "Just who the heck is Bryan Q. Miller?" to "Wow he really gets Batgirl, the Bat-verse, and it's fun.") -Powergirl (Goodbye Powergirl who I read in singles and then switched over to trades) -Secret Six (Goodbye crazy villain book) -Flash (Goodbye Flash title that I thought would be way better than it was. Even though I prefer Wally there was supposed to be all these new stories to tell.)
+Resurrection Man (DnA and good buzz I will have to buy)
Maybe (In declining interest level): Birds of Prey (Two-thirds of the core are gone. Ivy's alright but I like Huntress way more. Swierczynski could be good but his recent stuff didn't blow me away) Action Comics (Morrison but I'm not jazzed thinking about the art at this point) Justice League International (I was thinking Winick was going to write this. Still have to make my way through all of Generation Lost) Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE (If I like the Flashpoint mini a lot) Catwoman (Seems like good Winick is back so you never know) Batwing (Batman Inc. connection makes me interested

Thanks for the read Travis. I have to agree. My son is very excited about the reboot. It is causing a lot of conversation at my LCS but the thoughts of a younger reader seem to have more weight on this subject because they are the future audience. Like all comics readers I am nervous but hopeful. (and never a hater ).
