I heard a rumor somewhere that this was being released in a hardcover in the style of the Strangers in Paradise Slipcase. So basically what I'm asking is does anyone know if this is true, and has info on it?

He doesn't have anything listed on his web site. I'd assume there would be something after he finishes the series and the last trade is published.

Has Moore ever mentioned if this is series has a projected ending/known issue count? I just finished the 3rd volume this week. It just gets better and better.

Echo is well recieved but I dont think it ever got SiP buzz/following, so I cant imagine that he'd try to do an oversized omnibus... but who knows, what with pre-orders he just produces on demand based on the orders and thats it, so maybe... I just cant imagine it... Echo is god but its not Bone or SiP

I just finished # 30 and I'm surprised that I have not seen more comments about the end of the series. I would be surprised if this does not (or has not) been picked up as a motion picture. It was a fun run with a few WTF moments. Congrats to Mr. Moore for another stellar run.

Terry mentions this in his CBR interview: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=32687In addition to "Rachel Rising," you've got a full hardcover collection of "Echo" debuting at SDCC. How is this going to compare to the "Strangers in Paradise" omnibus?
It won't be a box set, but it'll be a hardcover -- 640 pages -- and we're only going to have 1000 hardcovers. Of that 1000, there will be 150 San Diego Comic-Con versions, I think. We'll just have those hardcovers and then after that, we'll keep a softcover version in print forever. That's our goal. It'll be comic-sized, one big fat book. Not the 12-pound beast that "Strangers in Paradise" was, but hopefully a 5- or 6-pound beast.

Echo Hardcover and Softcover Omnibus now available on his website to purchase as of this morning. Kind of sucks they only ship to US Looks beautiful... http://www.echocomic.com/store/index.html The hardcover will be $65. We will have a special SDCC version at the show. These special SDCC editions (also $65) will be strictly limited to 150 copies, with a signed and numbered bookplate. I think these will go quickly, but I like having something special for you.
The softcover editions will be in comic stores the first week of August. The hardcover will be sold only through Abstract Studio, meaning you can order it through our website or pick up a copy at a comic convention.
